EU will have an exclusive (to the bundle?) Dragonball Z cover plate. I hope they release it separately.

I'd love to see the whole N3DS be orange, but I guess they're not going to be offering any colors other than black and white for the time being :/
 
Given that I wrote off most of the faceplates except the Zelda Triforce one I own ( I think some of them have nice designs but do not look good on a 3DS), they are quite fun to swap in and out. I received a No.23 white emboss Mario cover plate set as part of the eBay bundle I bought with my N3DS, and although it does not match the 3DS, it's fun to have some funky designs and remove them like a Lego set. It makes me feel like a kid again.
 
Yeah, I really like the new AC plate. Updated the info. Hoping to put up pre-order links when they happen.

Edit: I will also fix the broken images. Been busy with Dokkan Battle.
 
Has there grown a consensus as to which of the two N3DS colours looks less grimy after extended use?
Trying to decide if I should buy the white or the black one.

I'm not sure about this answer (I don't think enough time has passed) but to help your decision, here are some other pros and cons to each colour:

- The black helps the contrast of the screen seems much higher than the white. From another poster, Bill Rizer:

Often overlooked issue, but games look better when black framed. Colors pop and perceived contrast is higher. Even truer for 3D, which gains focus and depth. That is also the reason why OG 3DS had a black frame for the upper screen despite the console color scheme. Was also explained in Iwata Asks, if I'm not wrong.

- White systems generally 'yellow' over time but the white N3DS is more of a grey colour. Will this stop this phenomena? I don't know.
- A lot of the faceplates I see are more suited to the white N3DS rather than black. This site helps with deciding
- The white looks like a SNES , but the black looks smarter (my opinion)
- Dirt will show up more easily on white, scratches and marks on black (both are matte so fingerprints won't matter as much)

EDIT:

I chose black because of the fear of yellow discolouring, dirt being hard to remove, it generally looks smarter in black (despite how I love the white looking like a SNES) and because the Zelda Triforce faceplates looked better on black. I am, however, jealous of white owners. It's a hard decision!
 
Word of warning:
The bumpers on the bottom and above the top screen and also the home button have already started discolouring on my white unit.

Also, though I believe this to be purely by chance, my and another white unit I've seen have both had slightly loose/flappy top screens. Both black units I've played on haven't had this.

The (slight) majority of cover plates look better on the white model though and the coloured buttons stand out more.

I'll probably end up buying a black one, as the actual playing experience must be more important than the looks.
Those faceplates DO look sexier on the white one, though :P
 
Certainly cool to have something exclusive like that, though I admit I'm not the biggest fan of designs that are split in the middle.

62, which is similar to the new 3DS LL Animal Crossing design released late July.
63, which is the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon one comes out mid-September.
The AC faces, which I assume is number 64, has no date yet. I assume it will go with Amiibo Festival.

I mostly checked AmiAmi for the data. Updated OP to show Mystery Dungeon plate since it was announced just recently.

They might be an EU exclusive plates.
 
Yep the AC faces plate is EU exclusive for now. I already got it preordered but it's at a Dutch store that only does pick up at store so don't think it'd help if I linked it here :p

The release date for the plate is October 2

:( No direct shipping to Singapore either. Seems like Amazon.fr had them too, but no idea if they were offering international shipping.
 
First time i have used Amazon Germany lol it was scary, can't read a word of German. Managed to get my order in ok, well i think i did. We'll see in october hehe.
