We talkin' bout anime, fighting games are anime!
the transitive property: if FGW = Fighting Games discussion and Anime = Fighting Games then FGW = Anime.

They are masters with the fanservice ripping panels from the manga like that and making them into moves for ASB. Wish EOH got a different dev tho. I wouldn't mind a 90s beat em up brawler.
F.F got in? That's pretty nice. I might cave if i see Weather Report or Ringo Roadagain tho. I'll atleast watch some vids if the game turns to be shit.
I've been playing the demos and with this new demo Eyes of Heaven is a fun single player game for JoJo fans. ASB wasn't even fun in single player.
Had enough of part 3. Things need to get weird. Bring forth the tower or maybe the rat or my boy B.I.G Notorious. Needs a nerf ofcourse. I see them working better in EoH than a reqular fighter tho.F.F. wasn't confirmed yet, but she's bound to get in. It's either that or we get this big ass chunk of the roster that's part 3. I'd be fine with a crazy stand user like Chocolate Disco.

We will be resuming the #SFVBeta at 7PM PST until 1AM PST for North America only. Important details here: http://www.capcom-unity.com/street_...937/sfv-new-server-test-tonight-7pm-1am?sdb=1
First off, apologies that this have been a rough start for the beta. We expected some hiccups, but this was a bit worse than we were prepared for. We appreciate your patience and support while we get things working.
We will be extending the beta to ensure you get play time, and we are working on finding a way to give incentives for those who have participated in this beta phase.
We are going to try and get things working tonight, however, to set expectations, currently things are still broken. We might be able to get some fixes and some matches in tonight, we might not, so probably not a good time to throw your SFV Beta party just yet.
We will be testing from 7pm-1am tonight, but tonight are going to be limiting the beta to only North America. This will reduce the strain on the servers, and provide a better work environment to fix the problem. Once we can get things running well in North America, we will then announce a time to do a global test including both Europe and Asia.
We will be providing updates every 20 mins, via this thread on Capcom-Unity. We will not be providing updates on other channels. If you want to share your experience, please post in this thread, as this will be our central source of monitoring what is going on. Please refrain on blowing up Ono-san on Twitter, everything tonight is being managed out of Capcom USA, and everyone already is well aware the game is currently broken.
Again, thank you all for your patience and support. We know how eager you are to play the game, and how disappointing this start has been. We will make it up to you. The sooner we can get this working, the sooner you can play, and we are working as hard as we can to get everything running smoothly.
Give em credit, trying to make it right.
Also: "currently still broken" haha
Cool. Wasn't expecting it to be available this fast.Watch out, any button.
I guess dustloop.com is the standard answer. I mean for the older characters its fine, since there are enough of the entrenched dedicated players to do all the heavy lifting and gather information for you. Its slightly more rough for the new characters as there might or might not be a person who is willing to put in the work to write up all the information for them and keep it updated.
Personally I just went through the challenges for the characters that were interesting to see what they can do. The challenges actually seem to aim to give you some basic idea of what the characters combos and strings are, and what they can do in some situations. Missions kind of help out with some basic ideas as to what can happen in the game in terms of moving around, attacking, defending, fighting certain types of characters.
The best resource is probably the video threads, since they just skim Mikado streams or whatever else for the more experienced japanese players. Those will really help you get an idea of what the character can do and how they play. Because that's the one thing that none of the tutorials in the game teach, and the wiki/threads dont convey all that well is how the game actually flows when going with a specific character.
Then again maybe I am entirely wrong, because this is my first GG game, and I am terrible at it, and I still complain about my character choice.
Xrd has a really good tutorial mode and the mission mode goes over game mechanics and some common situations, the challenge mode is also decent for combo ideas. Find a character by going through the in-game stuff, then go on dustloop.
Match was pretty clean. No problems netcode wise. Then again it looks like nobody's playing and I haven't got a 2nd match yet soo....
