I think Dhalism and Sagat have outside shots at the main roster but I don't really see how E. Honda gets in on the ground floor just in terms of general popularity. He's also not like Birdie in that he doesn't have the "I never expected to see him ever again" shtick.

Honestly I'd rather not see threads filled with people whining they didn't get thier way for months. I'm not a fan of Mika but I'm fine with her being in if she's chosen.

I really don't want to see El Fuerte, Seth or Rufus but if they get picked I'm not going to throw a fit over it.

It's funny to me when people say, "I don't understand why people enjoy XYZ character."

Like they can't conceive it in their puny little minds that somebody would enjoy and have opinions different from those they have. How can you not understand that people like different things? It's really that simple.

I LIKE Mika's design. I loved her normals. They were meaty as fuck. I love that she had more mobility and speed than a regular grappler. And how can you hate on somebody THAT SUMMONS A WRESTLING RING?

It's normal for all fighting threads where people would think for themselves and their favorite characters. It's more of people are afraid that "shitty" characters would reduce their characters' chance to be in the game. Or it could be otherwise, it really offended their sense that they are in the game.

I expect the SF2 cast to be given priority and to be in the game within the first year and a half. Obviously I'm not basing this on anything other than previous games so I very well could be wrong.

No idea how T-Hawk would play in SF5, perhaps he'd get a significant rework.

I'm kind of lost on Maki. I watched a play-through of her and nothing really stood out. It almost felt like she didn't have any specials. I'll have to watch through her movelist I guess

R.Mika's designs doesn't bother me at all, it is just a silly version of female wrestler outfits. So I don't mind her being back, although there are a couple of (female or not) characters I would prefer to have in SF5 instead of her, like Crimson Viper, Makoto and Hakan's wife.

I find Cammy's design much more problematic and I actually wish she wasn't in the game. She is just pure dumb fanservice.

The hell is wrong with everyone why is everyone crying over sexy characters. If Capcom choose to include and nice backside or a nice rack on a female character I am not complaining. As for R. Mika I'm not a fan of the design. However I haven't played enough with her to know how fun her Playstle and moveset is.

In terms oof female characters my top 2 a Makoto and Juri.

I think the chances of Poison (and Hugo) being in the vanilla game are very low, unfortunately.

Sexualization is a process that happens entirely within your own mind, though. An outfit or design is not inherently "problematic;" it only becomes so when your brain decides that it is.

I'm all for more conservative character designs, but not at the expense of personailty. Mila from DOA5 is a good example, as she dresses primarly in practical clothes and streetwear, yet maintains enough visual flair to distinguish her from the rest of DOA's incredibly flashy cast.

Problematic merely converts personal issue into group perception. It removes the speaker from the equation. If anything, saying something is problematic makes it a factual issue, rather than a matter of preference.

No, not the classic back turn win pose- just some of the intro/super/win poses new to SF5. It's not as though people need the help sexualizing a character.

I am still holding out for Ingrid though I am waiting on being disappointed.

Besides her , I really want Capcom to add in Rival Schools characters but not by the same universe but a different version of them existing in Street Fighter Universe with actual lives and much older. They can easily keep similar personalities and goals as other version of themselves. Batsu , Kyosuke and Akira is the only three that the worlds needs. Though this is more of a dream and even wanting Ingrid is unrealistic.

We can still get Shin Oni Akuma and Angered Evil Ryu.

I am gonna be hyped to see what they bring with that. It might even be era of the Evil Adult Schoolgirl.

I think popular characters that were in SF4 would sell more dlc. I could see people clamoring to get Zangief or Fei Long back and willing to pay. Or Akuma..

Yup, so much this. I've never mained Sim, but if Capcom is purportedly so intent on offering a varied roster, they'd have to go far, far out of their way to make or re-tool a character that even comes close to being as unique as him on a fundamental level, regardless of sub-systems or meter-fighter shenanigans.

As you can see there are a lot of SF2 characters to get the casuals in but you have some missing like Honda and Blanka as well as the remaining Super and Shadaloo characters which will be DLC. Then you also have fan favourites like Alex which I reckon will be DLC.

If they have a new boss or its Urien replace Karin with Urien in my list.
