I would love for that to be the case. Of course, Alex would be a little younger in this game. Actually, come to think of it, the new crush counter system almost looks perfectly designed to include Alex's slaps (fierce version turns the opponent around). He'd better have different animations for his critical art depending on which way his opponent is facing!

I wonder what his V-trigger would be, though.

Would criticals really help that much? His standing Rh knocks people away, his standing fierce knocks down, and most of his other normal are fairly short range. I think something along the lines of his normal cancelling into throws would be more useful.

St. fierce > pickup German suplex
St. roundhouse > running powerbomb
St. medium > sleeper/bulldog
St. forward > Enziguri
etc, etc.

It would make his mixups much more dangerous since he'd get the extra damage and stun without having to use his meter which he can save for more ex elbows and stomps.

The Juri design we got fits the actual sadistic crazy person aspect of the character better than all of the others. Those designs are neat but wouldn't fit the end result.

I think his chances are good, but he doesn't have to nessesarily be in it. The game is likely a prequel and they could just set it before he targeted Alex.

I'm not sure on the vomiting with today's graphics, but I would like a more personal touch to this SF.

Meh their vision of a sadistic crazy person is still pretty terrible imo. You can be much more subtle with these things and get the same effect. Instead they went with the crazy animu psychopath.

All of those are things they should take into consideration if they really want to step up the solo experience of the game, yes.
I for one am a fan of special intros, I think KOF '96~'98 era SNK did those the best. KOF'98 had dozens of them, I really hope we'll get a few in SFV.

I wish post round attacks would make it in. It was always cool seeing a bit of personality from people. Sometimes they would spare you and just let you slump to defeat, or maybe if you've gotten under their skin they would nail you one last time after the round was over. It was a simple thing, but it had a lot of feeling attached to it at times.

The lighting on her tongue and teeth are inverted from the lighting on the rest of the scene (lighting coming from the left for the actual parts, from the right for her 'mouth' art) Also her teeth are too bright (check her eyes for the correct white level)

Heh. wouldn't even need a kit or any real artistry to create that pic to be honest, the tongue is a bevel and emboss effect job if i ever saw one :3

I wouldn't put it past them to not have Alex included but just Tom now that I think about it, or for Alex to be a child that we only see as a cameo before the fight (like Effie with Necro or Poison with Hugo in 3rd Strike).

Yes I know SFIV in some ways made no sense with people like Ibuki, Yang or Yun showing up when they should have been too young in the timeline, but for some reason I have a feeling that Alex is too important story-wise to be included without either an age adjustment or without being accompanied by Tom in some way, especially if this game actually leads up to the events in III. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

The fact that he is so canonically important might actually be the reason why he won't get in; that's what I fear at least. I do wish to see him though - let's be clear about that!
