Summer Lesson (Tekken team/Harada, UE4) - PS4 Morpheus killer app :)

If this is a tech demo, they need to spend more time working on the tech before making a game out of it. Even in the video I was feeling a bit nauseous, and I never get sick from FPS games. Part of it is the terrible framerate I guess, but it just feels off.

What a time to be alive. Where's the vibrating fleshlight add-on?

Might have something to do with it being a youtube video.

Summer Lesson will not be demoed in TGS, due to "overwhelming reactions to wanna try the demo exceeding SCEJA expectations." The demo is decided to not be shown in TGS to create space for other demo projects.

I am disappoint.

What? They cancelled the demo due to too much interest? That seems ridiculous to me, but I guess they don't want half the convention to leave disappointed after waiting in line for several hours.

EDIT: I don't know why people are exploding over the whole "pervert" aspect of this. I don't see anything over-sexualized about this in the short trailer. Certainly not compared to a lot of other things out there.

Sony and TGS probably would not want to stir this potential PR nightmare up as the center stage of what "VR" or "games" is to the general public, and we all know this is the real reason why it's pulled off from stage.

I found it amazing it went this far anyway.

I guess that makes a certain kind of sense. Hopefully they still release the game.

Harada himself mentioned a couple of days ago on Twitter that they were facing a problem due to overwhelming response to try out the demo because there aren't enough demo units, booth space and play time at TGS are limited etc. I don't know why some of you keep insisting that it's pervy and will cause PR nightmare BS.

BTW they are looking into setting up another event later to demo Summer Lesson.

It's TGS, not E3.

Stuff like IM@S and SAO are openly demonstrated in Japanese events and no one blinks an eye.

The assumptions are lol worthy.

Hmm, am I just perverted or does that look like you know what?

I don't care for the girl but the room looks so nice and tidy, mine "drains" me just by being there, I should do something to change that.

Thoughts about this as a 'game' aside, the visuals in this are really strong. As a tech demo it's probably super impressive in VR. There isn't much comparable in production values outside of a few non-VR-exclusive titles like Elite Dangerous.

While this is slightly creepy, I do like the idea behind it. Of course, being with a young school girl alone in a room isn't exactly what I'd like to play, but I could imagine an "interactive anime" aka visual novel in this style.

And no, it doesn't have to be lewd.

My guess is that they're not all soft erotic themed VR experiences.

For example in Winter Lesson you learn how to survive a plane crash on the Andes and so on.
If you're serious, you clearly don't know Japan xD

In retrospect, Summer-tan is pretty much the embodiment of summer in Japan. It makes sense to create a character for each season.

PS4 Morpheus killer app in Japan confirmed.

Knowing Miura, he'll hop from Idolmaster to this and we'll never get a new chapter of Berserk ever again.

There could be a really cool Rockband type game where you see huge audience on a Rock/Pop/Whatever type of concert while you are playing. Doubt any of these "lessons" will come out West.

That would be cool and it'll be far more immersive in "being" the rockstars.

About the lessons, Namco did show a localized trailer during E3. They even changed the girl to make her more appealing to the Western audiences.
