I dunno. There are a ton of original Xbox games I'd love to see supported. Namely Whacked, Conkers Live and Reloaded, Mech Assault 1&2, Bloodwake, Crimson Skies, Midtown Madness. Even if the MP of these games can't be played they all had fun offline and Single player modes.
All you have to do is play it so it will be both.

first time playing it? you are in for a treat. Just ignore the sometimes strange unreal engine bugs (they are not game breaking)

I forgot I own Gears of War. AS soon as they add Skyrim, and the Fallout games, im leaving my 360 lol. I wish they could add Marvel vs Capcom, but I think this is very unlikely.

I would've waited about 10 hours from now, since we're going to get new deals and it would make sense to put new BC games for cheap.

If PAL discs are still not supported for bc preview then everybody with a PAL-copy can forget playing Gears 1, not only german players.
Sales will switch over in around 8-9 hours, I'd wait a bit longer to see if they go on sale this week to celebrate BC.

Remember when that guy posted his finds through the dashboard and made pins from the games he found. Shadow Complex was one of them so it's starting to become true. I mean it was anyways since it had the xbox url on the jpg

Yeah , most of the first party games were universal language too, so there was no physical difference in the game.

Media ID's can be a lot different - which is what the Xbox One ends up scanning to see if the game is compatible which is really silly. It's why the PAL version of Nuts and Bolts wasn't working when the US version did. The XEX (executable) was exactly the same. But the Xbox One found the disc to identify differently and wasn't whitelisted. It's gonna be a huge pain in the ass for some games with tons of different Media IDs as I bet they won't go out of there way to make more obscure pressings work. I think there's something like 7 different versions of Skyrim in terms of Media IDs.

I don't think that's applicable to all titles, my PAL copy of Mass Effect worked just fine.

Region free, yes, but as someone mentioned above, some PAL-versions won't work for some people.
I don't think it's up yet so maybe it will work later even in europe. At least I hope so, I don't want to buy it once again in digital format.

Nah when you insert a disc or already own a game digitally regardless of region you download the same game as everyone else. This idea that PAL is different is wrong.

Does Grabbed by the Goulies being emulated / ported to Xbox One give anyone else renewed hope for Original Xbox compatibility at some point?
It's a little strange that they would go to that effort for GbtG but not also use that emulator for Conker Live and Reloaded. Although people have suggested that this is because they wouldn't be able to support online multiplayer.

Some people are experiencing problems with PAL-discs. Digital works 100% for everyone.
From the official faq:
Q: Why are my disc based copies of approved games are not working?
A: Currently only game discs from North America are supported. We are working to add more regions and expect all regions to be fully supported when the program launches for everyone.
Grabbed is a legitimate xbox one port, not using a emulator

Yep, first time. Played demo a while back and kept saying I'd buy the game.
I actually thought this just as I hit the buy button. Oh well...I didn't pay $60 for it, so even if it goes 50% I'm fine with it I guess..

Does anyone know if shadow complex has a new game + mode? I enjoyed the game but not sure about a second play through with my backlog staring at me.
From wahat I remember it has but it is nothing special. I think you have only uncovered map and xp so you can level further.

you can play again with the level ups you already earned and finally with unlimited ammo for each weapon, at some point you unlock hidden weapons which make you rather OP.
