Dark Souls 3 Trailer (Gamescom 2015)

Oh fuck, looks amazing. Love the roll and bow fire into a backstab. Greatest game series of all time continues!

Looks WAY too much like Bloodborne with that trailer. I don't see how From can continue both Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

There's been no indication that Bloodborne will be getting a sequel. I'm sure Sony will look to continue their relationship with Miyazaki and co, but I don't think a BB sequel is a guarantee.

Based Miyazaki. Just from what we've seen in this trailer it looks like it outclasses everything from DS2. That creature design is just hnynyygggg.

I'll be in if its more Dark Souls 1 then Demon Souls or Bloodbourne. I loved that Dark Souls 1 was one big world instead of a hub world and levels. 2 didnt click and I havent tried Bloodbourne.

Completely different move set.

Completely...

Anyway, we can at least agree that it's familiar.

What's being used in this trailer are cinematic filters which make it look like it's using a different lighting scheme.

People still mistake this for a downgrade. Bloodborne wasn't downgraded.
They even upgraded it when you watched the Project Beast trailer.

Oh hey! Someone noticed! I made a thread about it only to get blown up a while back... =/
BUT MIYAZAKI IS FLAWLESS AND DOES NO WRONG EVER.

Guys, you're trippin'.

Really psyched for this. I loved the way Bloodborne played, but the Souls series' "sword and sorcery"/dark fantasy setting always appealed to me a lot more. This looks like they're taking the best of both worlds. I love how fast everything is, and the animation is crazy.

Seriously, this.

Anyone else absolutely love that theyve brought back the intro voice actor from Ds1? That monologue at the beginning of Ds1 was amazingly well done and gave the game an eerie feeling right off the bat. Hopefully we get another.

The trailer could of just been that and i'd have been satisfied

Oh, okay, then.

Said no one, ever.

Your 'proof' of a downgrade is a trailer of gameplay footage under YouTube compression of things that didn't change. Point out specifically what things in that trailer were downgraded in the final game.

1) I'm exaggerating for the sake of attention because people get supremely blinded by their adoration for certain game designers on this site (and plenty of other places) plus the torrent of "B-team" bullshit that has been spewed against Dark Souls 2.

2) It is hard to describe something very minute and detailed and the best I can do is just put them side by side and say "LOOK". If you can't notice, I can't do much else.

Definitely got tons of good vibes from this trailer. Not that I had any doubt I would. Also, is it just me, or did everything seem Bloodborne-ish fluid?

I mentioned it in the conference thread but how does From keep making games like this so quickly? With all the games, and now the DLC expansions etc. Some developers seem to get stuck on making one thing for 10 years!

Looks amazing. *faints*

I need to decide soon if I'm going to try a blackout from here on. In the case of both Souls and Bloodborne, I wanted to blackout but ended up seeing a lot of the game before the release date through streams/previews/whatever.

This looks so Bloodborne. Moves like Darklurker.

I think it's due to the games having the same underlying engine and these folks being master craftsmen at using their tool enough to make gameplay tweaks and improvements as well.

All of the Souls games and Bloodborne are terrific games (regardless of where Dark Souls 2 stands in relation to the others). This is a testament to FROM's talent and focus.
