Dark Souls 3 Trailer (Gamescom 2015)

I think you're thinking of Sephiroth.

"Let's mosey" is the pinnacle of edge

I had the same feeling but then watched it for the 2nd time in 1080p...there is a link in here. I cant wait, the game looks so good, I just want to play it.

Im more hyped for this than MGSV

Yup, that was me too. When I saw it live I thought it looked bad visually. But now it is growing on me. Still, I think Bloodborne looks better, even though DkS3 is now pretty much Bloodborne 2 in its art direction. Maybe it is the animations IDK.

In any case, looks amazing! Especially the enemy designs, as usual from Miyazaki-senpai.

Bosses that are humanoid like the Witch of Hemwick, Shadow of Yharnam, and
Yharnam
have enough variety in their fights that places them above giant dudes with giant weapons that swing at you.

LOL if those bosses were in DS2 they'd be maligned for being "gank squad" fights like most of the multi-target battles are.

DS2 is not lacking in variety, the SOTFS edition contains over a dozen non-humanoid bosses.

Hope bloodborne dlc bridges the gap until this game.

Fuck souls fatique.i want to play these games forever

Y'all are Souls babies until you've beat the Defiled Watchdog in Bloodborne's Cursed Pthumerian Defilement (where your HP is permanently halved — OHKOs all around). Hardest boss in the Miyazaki games. Here's my run.

And here's another one of my favorite non-humanoid "monster bosses" in Bloodborne: Ebrietas, Daughter of the Cosmos. Lovecraft as FUCK, dude!

Also, I hope the "bonfire sword" is something we can also use as a weapon. It looks siiiiiick with the glowing red tip!

Oh my god give it to me noooooooowwwww
Hype is beyond thunderdome.
This is a fucking trailer. Not using stupid rock music like Dark souls 2.

Oh god I can't.
Calling it now; best game of all time.

old backstabbing is back.
thank god.

hope this is good and ignores part 2, because I don't know what happend there.

The guys with the lanterns remind me of the Octopus head guys from Demon's Souls. I'm curious about these "battle arts" each weapon is supposed to have though. But anyways, bosses were looking great, the areas too. Really looking forward to this. Hope they keep bugs to a minimum this time though :S

I played Demon's Souls and the first Dark Souls one and loved both of them. I never got around to Dark Souls II but this trailer is pretty hype. Might have to get around to that or just wait for DSIII to come out.

It looks really great, but I have to admit that there were some points in there that specifically reminded me of Bloodborne more than Dark Souls.

Yeah and the graphical roughness on Bloodborne. I guess I expected a bit more of an upgrade but on PC this will be lovely. Awesome trailer!

Current-gen Mindflayers and Latria? I'll take it!

Also, that dissolving ash dragon is tits!

Oh my, that looks amazing! That prison scene with the enemy carrying the lantern reminded me so much of 'Prison of Hope' from Demon's Souls.

Between the pre-release glimpse of the "Cthulhu spider" in Bloodborne (now known as Amygdala), and now the giant skull in DS3, I hope all future Souls games always include a "what the fuck is THAT" moment as part of their hype cycle.

I have been seeing these trailers and I love everything I see, but as a scrub who haven't played the past games (I just bought bloodborne) is it too late for me to play this game history wise?

They should just call this game Dark Souls 2. I would have laughed and been 100% ok with that.

I mean it's a descent game, but I feel like after you play 1 and 3, ds2 is gonna stick out like a sore thumb. SORELY out of place. Story wise , I wish they would just ignore it and forget about it.

Praise the sun.

now that's some pretty solid art direction, really loving what I am seeing

and I don't care to be spoiled, but seems like most enemies are going to be
Giants
right?

I liked both DaS & DaS II, so really looking forward to this one.

Yeah, DS3 is checking off all of the boxes.

Crazy-weird moments like Frampt in DS1 or wall-clinging Amygdala in BB? CHECK. (See "the Skull")

Spiritual successor to the Tower of Latria, Mindflayers and Man-centipedes of Demon's Souls? CHECK.

Melancholy beauty? Haunting horror? Faded glory? Did you -see- the dissolving ash dragon? CHECK.

Badass bosses, badass armor, badass bosses IN badass armor? CHECK, CHECK, CHECK.

Also, they've been saying many bosses will transform, so I'm betting we'll see more Father G-style twists. :-O

And did I mention the giant skull in the basement?!

Yeah, the "shimmering" on certain details in the background hurt my eyes.

But I don't mind much. DID YOU SEE THAT SKULL IN THE BASEMENT?!

It looks like it is a very common problem within From Software. Bloodborne early trailers had an imense amount of shimmering too.

The final version is much better though, so don't worry guys!

Play them in release order! If you can start with Demon's then Dark 1, Dark 2, BB, and then Ds3. If you start with BB it may sour you on the rest of the series because its combat is such a step up. Then again you may end up liking the customization options in the other games more.

I love the obvious Bloodborne touch in DS3 gameplay-wise because I prefered Bloodborne's combat and had the most fun with it. There was so much action in each fight in Bloodborne

DS1 and DS2 are standalone stories. There are references to each other but I doubt DS3 will require you to have played the others.

DS1 is one of my all-time favorite games, though. Highly recommended. Haven't played DS2 yet, though, but I've read up on the lore.

Well of those, one was a legitimate gank squad.

Also, I was talking about vanilla DS2. The stuff introduced in the expansions were great for the most part.

The giant skull is either a massive badass boss or a massive badass merchant/helpful chap with a charming British accent.
My first instinct says the skull is an NPC. As scary as it seems, it just seems like something that will end up talking to you and imparting forbidden knowledge, or tasking you with something that may or may not work out for you (similar to the primordial serpents in the first Dark Souls).

Best-case scenario, the skull asks you to sit down and then proceeds to do stand-up comedy (skull-up comedy?) until you stand and leave.

From a technical standpoint, will FromSoft ever improve?

So much aliasing and shimmering throughout that trailer, and I bet stuttering too when gameplay footage comes out.

They need overhaul their engine or something :/

Agreed. I won't outright hate on their games though until the engine reaches Telltale levels of aging.

Seriously. It's funny that they haven't ironed out the shimmering problem.
Looks like Watchdog with armor and moves like BSB.
Literally is an apt description. The head swipes are from Watchdog, while the movement is Blood Starved Beast after it charges you.

Yea man...i thought BB was gonna get the Ice team to help em make it a graphical showpiece. It's more like an art showpiece. But when u see stuff like Horizon and UC4, tad disappointed they couldn't at least get it up to 60fps especially with the faster gameplay.
