That...was not the right trailer for this event. Whoever thought it was, needs a reality check. People want to see more of the game...This showed less than any trailer since the reveal. It is very easy to be sceptical of this game. I enjoyed the demo, but they need more...A lot more.

It's because what they showed looks awful. FFXV has never looked more like a PS3 game than it did in this trailer.

That is some hyperbole. The only scene that looked a bit weak was when they zoomed out on the building with the silouhet's behind it. Otherwise it looks stunning visually.

That wasn't really heart felt emotion, though. I'm sure it will be in the actual game, but we as the trailer viewing audience don't even understand why he's clutching the boy so tearfully or why we should care.

This is definitely a graphical showcase, those animations, dat lighting. It seems like they ported that "Cry" demo to realtime FFXV. But no idea if it's running on console or not.

While the graphics are good, nothing here is particularly mind blowing animation wise.

It's a contextless shot of a man holding his son crying. Emphasis on contextless. Context usually helps when it comes to making a viewer feel something for a scene.

Wow looking at this thread I had the exact opposite reaction than most everyone here. Personally I loved it. Got me excited for the story of the game which is more than I can say ever happened with XIII. I can dig it.

And it looks like not all story elements from Nomura's vision were cut.

My guess is prerendered. Definitely looks touched up. Might be realtime but I doubt it.

Yes I have played the demo. I was referring to this trailer specifically, not other stuff that we've seen from the game.

graphics do look a little improved. Little Luna's hair, the lighting during the last shot of the dog when there's an explosion off-screen. Car textures. Scale. Music was great! I thought it was going for the emotions of the faither's anguish, then noctis had to push his face away.
