did you like it?

I could use a beer after this....

Fair enough, but KH3 is at least the same team that was holding down the KH series with (good) entries while the Versus silliness was happening. And they're on an engine that doesn't suck. And it's undoubtedly a smaller scale game.

Until proven otherwise, I'm still cautiously optimistic about KHIII.
Yup, same. I'm not that worried about it because that team held down the fort between 2 and 3 and they were all pretty good. Also, we've seen quite a bit of it already - a few worlds and the combat system - and they've made quick progress since the first reveal.

Guys what if they intentionally didn't show shit so that when they reveal a crazy 8 minute story trailer at TGS, we enjoy it even more. TGS hype!!!

That was awful. I'm starting to think we get lucky if this comes out in 2017.

TGS ATR:

Tabata: We're glad for you to be joining us. It's been a long time coming and all this wait has paid off. Time to give you a glimpse what we have in store for FFXV!

*Shows a rendered model of a barrel*

Tabata: Looks nice, doesn't it? We've spent all this time rendering a barrel the most realistic looking as possible, and within the coming months, we'll continue to render this barrel to make it looks even better than it is right now!

"I think most people are expecting a big reveal around E3," he said in the video embedded below.

"E3 doesn't give us sufficient time to fully prepare [to release pertinent information about the game]. So I have been discussing with our marketing teams, and we've actually been considering Gamescom in August, instead of E3, as the target for the next major reveal.

"So we'll be taking a break from E3 this year," he said.

i don't understand. They could easily show those Gamescom Videos at E3 aswell - that hugging trailer and those few seconds with marlboro

Fucking hell this was terrible –– who the hell thought this kind of ATR would be a good marketing idea? All it does is elucidate the lack of direction at the moment.

yep basically. can't even have the respect for them to admit that they're behind on stuff when all we got this past hour was "please look forward to further updates". a completely squandered opportunity.

So FFXIII mark the beginning of Final Fantasy's director curse.
Toriyama
FFXIV 1.0 dude (forgot his name)
Nomura (kicked out)
and now, Tabata

I don't understand everyone complaining abou tthis, we finally saw new footage of them fighting a Marlboro, thats good enough for me.

That footage was the most worrying thing. Is the whole game going to be about camping out in various large empty fields of wilderness? At a pretty terrible framerate to boot? Duscae was technologically a looker but the area was just so damn boring.

They should've let this game die D:
I really tried to be optimistic, but they've managed to kill all the hype I had in less than 12 hours...

The Marlboro was kinda cool but having the battle be a few seconds of Bad Breath and then the Game Over was just wat

They should have at least showed it as an in-game battle

That was terrible, I already had low expecations but this was even worse.

I wonder if people will still keep blaming Nomura, Tabata sacrificed a lot of things to make this possible and still he fails to do it, at least within a normal time frame.

It started with FF12.

That was terrible, I already had low expecations but this was even lower.

I wonder if people will still keep blaming Nomura, Tabata sacrificed a lot of things to make this possible and still he fails to do it, at least within a normal time frame.
What did he sacrifice? He took over someone else's project and still can't complete it in a short time, unlike the crew that completed FF12. He had the ambition to gun for the job, then he should be able to take the blame for it.

Get fuckin Sakaguchi back in Square. If Kitase's too chickenshit to step back into the saddle, get someone who KNOWS how to do something right. Itou! Stop fixing the water cooler and come give these guys a hand! They need it!

Honestly even though this is a disappointment, I could care less about this stuff at this point as long as the game is good.

SE has always sucked with PR

Just look at how badly their E3 conference was in terms of actual information and presentation
