Looks like Robert DeNiro, honestly.
pretty much what they did. Doesn't hurt that robert de niro is synonymous with the depiction of the italian mafia in pop culture.
Looks like Robert DeNiro, honestly.
Hopefully the ridiculousness of the explosiveness and cars flying like that are toned down at some point. I'm really looking forward to the sound track/radio though just going by the rock they've already played in the trailer and previews.
That was the best part. The realism.Yeah, I mean this was the game where you got tickets for speeding. I hope they keep some of that realism.
I don't even understand how people thought this was acceptable to put in this game? Feels like Crazy Taxi physics

Everyone knows gangs are disorganized. Otherwise they'd market themselves as Mafia's when the bloods and crips startedBlack folk can be in organized crime to.
Or are you going to go " GTASA reveal thread " on us?
There are about 20 people from 2K Czech working on this, but the core leads are different, most 2K Czech people went to Warhorse.
Release a CG trailer, people instantly complain about no gameplay reveal.
Release a gameplay reveal, people instantly complain about physics in a game that's still a year off.
It also seems to function as an action cam or something. You know, to show the awesome explosions I guess.
I am honestly very disappointed with everything (except the music). That never happened to me...
I don't like the MC. I don't like the city. I don't like the time period. I don't like the premise of the story. I don't like what I'm seeing about the gameplay.
My main problem though is the city. Not the city itself, but the visuals of it. I don't know, it is just so bland. Mafia 2 city was so much more interesting... especially because of the time period.
But then again, everything I'm talking about is based on 30 seconds of footage, so I'm still optimistic.
Is he a dudebro to you?I don't like the MC.

" Hey, let's make The Godfather 4 a romantic comedy about an ageing man who is a young teenager's godfather and they all go on silly adventures, because, you know, the word "godfather" means the same thing here as well "
I couldn't come up with a more silly comparison, but it's basically the same thing.
Too swampy and too many jazz cigarettes.I can't believe it. It's literally the same arguments. Lol
Mafia III continues the strong franchise tradition of a captivating story set in the treacherous and calculated world of organized crime, said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. Mafia III captures Hangar 13s mantra of every player story is unique through a cinematic narrative that responds to player choice.
Mafia III is set in a reimagined New Orleans in 1968, one of the most tumultuous years in American history. This version of New Orleans is bustling with activity, complete with era-inspired cars, fashion and music. During this turbulent time, a cloud of corruption hangs in the air and the city has become a haven for organized crime. The Italian mob controls illegal gambling, drugs, and prostitution, while corrupt police and politicians line their pockets with the proceeds.
Mafia III follows the story of Lincoln Clay, a disenfranchised Vietnam veteran, returning from combat and looking for a home and a place to belong. Orphaned as a child, Lincoln at last achieves a semblance of family with the citys black mob, finding the surrogate father and brother he has longed for. But when Lincolns new family is betrayed and slaughtered by the Italian mob, he becomes fixated on revenge and wages a brutal war against the Italians, disrupting the balance of power in the seedy underworld of New Orleans. As the story progresses, Lincoln allies himself with other criminals and builds an empire and a new family of his own that transforms the city.
Throughout the riveting story of Mafia III, players choose their path to revenge and build their own crime empire using cunning, stalking and deception, or through overwhelming force and firepower. Mafia III combines the best of cinematic storytelling with a dynamic narrative structure that responds to player choices, set in a vibrant city that responds to Lincolns actions.
The Mafia franchise is known for its immersive sense of time and place, and for presenting compelling stories about life within organized crime, said Haden Blackman, studio head and creative director at Hanger 13. In Mafia III, we are introducing players to an unexpected new anti-hero and an iconic city to explore, all within a hard-boiled drama set during one of the most turbulent years in American history.
Mafia III will be available in calendar 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation®4 system and Windows PC. Mafia III is not yet rated by the ESRB. For more information on Mafia III, visit the MafiaGame.com.

Looks very action-ey.
Things exploding for no apparent reason
Protagonist walks like a douchebag
Shooting seems too arcadey and over the top
Dumb violence. Unless that guy he stabbed 11 billion times killed his entire family, it's just stupid.
The driving mechanics seem to be the best thing about it, the cars look as if they handle like they should from that era
But god damn, what a piece of shit. It is so much worse than anything I had envisioned. Wasn't there talk of Rockstar helping these guys out at one point? What a waste.
Edit: Interestingly the race of the protagonist didn't even cross my mind, but of course the internet is blowing up about it. Sigh.
Honestly i don't know what are you talking about. In that gameplay clips city is best thing. But i respect your opinion.
Is he a dudebro to you?
I don't know how you could like generic looking city of Mafia 2 better. New Orleans has a lot more style.
