Well KI makes sense because KI barely has any characters to begin with. No casual player cares if Kim woo makes it or not..Smash added essential icons from third parties and that was it. MK already added most of their interesting characters and no one gives a shit about characters from the shittier MKs as dlc so they have to garner attention somehow. SF still has a bunch of fan favorites to add...

Yeah good point. If it were to happen, I figure it'd be pretty far down the games lifespan, once the fan favorites that aren't in already make their way in(pretty much almost every SF character not named Rufus or El Fuerte at this point lol)

You know what, ever since playing TMNT: Tournament Fighters I've always longed for a Ninja Turtle to make it into Street Fighter. Now that KI actually has a Battle Toad, why not bring Raphael (or one of his brothers) into SFV? He could fight without weapons and save his Sai for his V-Trigger even. A character from Red Earth or MvC (speaking of original Capcom ones of course) would also be cool perhaps.

I still want to see them confirm that Rival Schools/Darkstalkers/Captain Commando exist in the Street Fighter/Final Fight Universe. I mean, Rash is explicitly a crossover character. Predator, Freddy, & Jason literally advertise their status in televised commercials. Smash is a crossover. At the very least, a Rival Schools character would fit right in, and, say, Morrigan would fit right in, so long as she's holding herself back to fit in with the mortal fighters.

Or, they could just go the "Already 110% Canon" route and just finally give us Haggar.

A Sony character won't happen because they aren't going to allow that character to appear in the PC version, and Capcom has already stressed that it's important that both versions are the same because of cross-platform play. It also isn't needed because unlike SFxT, this game is actually exclusive to the PS4.

Hey, to each their own, right? I certainly wouldn't mind it if SF sticks to Capcom characters either, but if we (hypotetically) have to have a quest character, I'd choose someone outlandish like a Ninja Turtle.

Actually, a character based around Arthur in the sense of being a defensively playing, honourable, stern and even stuck-up knight with a slight, unintentional comical side could be quite cool. They could either make him an actual Don Quixote type guy who keeps to knightly traditions despite living in modern times and as such fights with a wooden lance of sorts, or make him a modern version of a knight (perhaps in the form of a policeman?) who wears some kind of modern body armor and riot shield and fights with a baton or something. They could even incorporate the mechanic of losing his armor by making it fall off after being hit a certain number of times or by making his V-Trigger so that he enters his underwear mode and become faster and more agressive.

Rad Spencer from Bionic Commando or Captain Commando could also both work if they were redesigned to fit the SF universe by the way. Then again a Rival Schools character would be a far easier and more natural fit so why not hope for one of those?

Rival Schools isn't in the same universe as Street Fighter, despite the Sakura cameo. Only Final Fight and Saturday Night Slam Masters share the same continuity as SF currently.

Pretty much this, Final Fight, Rival Schools and Saturday Night Slam Masters are alright, but Megaman, the Darkstalkers and so on would be a bit much.

As much as i'd like to play as Gene or Asura, they have to stay out and wait for Marvel 4 or some other crossover game, there are enough SF characters to choose from anyway.
