Xbox One and Samsung 40in 1080p Smart HDTV for $500 (Best Buy 8/9)

So as a new XBone owner thanks to this deal, the must have console exclusives are:
- Halo MCC (came with bundle)
- Ori and the blind forest (downloading now)
- Sunset Overdrive
- Forza Horizon 2
- D4
- Rare Replay
- Titanfall (?)
- Dead Rising 3 (?)

Am I missing anything?
Sixty Second Shooter Prime is a pretty fun twin stick shooter for $5 if those games are your thing

Max: CoB is also really good. Don't buy it on the store though, check into online keys, it's usually on sale for like $5.

If you have Gold then download the free games (right now I believe it's Ground Zeroes and So Many Me)...on the 16th So Many Me will be replaced by How To Survive. Also download all the 360 games with gold even if you don't have a 360, because all those will be working with backwards compatibility.

And oh ya, EA Access gets you like 12 games including Titanfall(maps packs are also free now), Dragon Age Inquisition, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare, Peggle 2, ect for $30/year. Can't recommend this enough

Why are you factoring in a bigger hard drive and kinect? And why would that affect the savings at all, since you'd have to buy those separately anyway if the bundle didn't exist?

Yeah I guess what I am saying is most people will need to shell out another $220 to pick those up. Most of the bundles include the 1TB HDD and Kinect.

The Best Buy in Bethlehem PA still has some available (at least at 2PM):
BETHLEHEM PA (Store 1403)
4413 Birkland Pl
Easton, PA 18045

Have this in my cart mulling it over but as I think about it in I'd really only play Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC, Halo 5, Killer Instinct (which I'd hop over to the PC upon release) and Quantum Break in the next 6+ months, and I'm not particularly super excited for any of them. Everything else I'd be interested in I have on PC already. Don't need the TV. Might just wait it out, see if there's some cheap Xbox One pushers from this so I don't have to deal with the hassle of selling the TV myself.

Amazing deal. Well done Microsoft, this pushed me over the edge! Getting MCC is a nice bonus too.

Thanks Gaf for the great spot - appropriate that my first post here is one of gratitude to the Gaf :).

I'm close to getting this. Have no need for a TV. Honestky I have no need for a one but I would like halo and QB and Scalebound when it hits.

Is selling the TV easy? eBay will eat a bunch of the profits. I have never done Craig's list, not sure how easy it is to sell on that.

CL is super easy but sometimes can be flakey. Do you have work for sale mailer? I've done that many times at work but of course I have am at a huge company so YMMV

That's great. If you have no interest in an Xbox one or already own one, you can return it and get a Wii U for no extra cost, pay an extra $100.00 and get a PS4, or just place it towards an applience or something.

You can return items in a bundle separately? That would be awesome if true. I mainly need a decent cheap TV since I have a X1 already.

Congrats, you're not going to regret it. Imo it has the best line up of games coming up hands down, so much so that I might not even get a ps4 when uncharted hits. I can wait for a price drop.

I know Ryse gets a lot of flak but it's not such a bad game if you get a good deal for it. Would include it on your list.

I played through a bit of Ryse at a friend's house on his PC. If I see it at a really good budget price I'll pick it up, but from what I played... I can wait.

That's a good list there... I would add:
- Killer Instinct
- Project Spark
- Minecraft

I forgot about killer instinct, I will be downloading the f2p for sure. I'll look into
Project spark, don't know
Much about it outside the Conker fiasco. And I already have minecraft on the Ps4.

get EA access($30 12 months) and you get Titanfall, DragonAge,battlefield 4 ,PlantsvsZombies, ea sport games

I will be signing up for EA access for sure! Seems like a great deal, especially for dragon age and titanfall!

I'll look into those two games, max looks interesting and I've heard good things. I'm getting EA Acess for sure and strongly considering Gold.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations, enjoying my time with the Xbox One a lot more than I expect so far! The smartglass app for controlling the console along with the snap feature makes this a really awesome all for-one entertainment box. My girlfriend and I have already decided to move this from the game room into the main area for all our streaming and TV needs. We are even considering a kinect for voice control but that is further down the road.

Also, Ori is amazing.

Just picked up mine at Best Buy in Simi Valley, Ca with the MCC Bundle. Apparently the employees weren't even aware of the deal themselves. Grab em now while if you can!

Yeah God forbid saving over $200 isn't enough already

Saving $200 dollers is nice but getting stuck with an item you have no interest in is not.

Anyway, it should not be too difficult finding a person who is willing to pay $250-$300 for an Xbox One or a TV. There seems to be plenty on Gaf who are willing to take an Xbox off your hands at that price...everybody wins.

Our store sold out in like 10 minutes. I was on break right as we opened. Took off my BB shirt and found a Home Theater rep right away. I bought it right as we got an OMS order for the last one.

Anyone find any calibration settings for the TV yet? I am not seeing any in my normal places. Just curious to try some out.

Just took advantage of this deal. I had no intention of getting an XBOX ONE anytime soon but this deal pushed me over the edge especially since one of my TVs just blew up the other day.

TV wasn't in stock so they just put in an order for me and will be ready for pickup on Wednesday. Now just need to pick up Rare Replay when they get it back in stock.

It's a good deal if you need both, but I'd only want the X1 and it'd probably be too much of a hassle to sell the TV so I'll just wait for Black Friday I suppose.

Yeah, that does not make sense. Seems like he was trying to stir shit up as usual in a Xbox One thread.

A lot of people don't have the need for both an upgraded HDD and the Kinect, so not sure what the purpose of his post or why even bring anything remotely up. That is like saying, a PS4 really costs more since you "have" to upgrade the HDD and buy it's camera.

You would have to count on buying for like $200 to $250 on black Friday for it to be a similar deal....

Yeah... Good luck with that

I bought the bundle just because it was a good deal. The salesperson at my bestbuy said they had 11 TVs at open and sold out but could do instore pick up for WED on the TV. My office could use an extra X1 and I'll keep the TV for my bedroom. Im wondering if I should buy a chromecast or wait for the new apple TV.

I got to my Best Buy right at 11am when they opened and there was no Xbox One bundles available. They told me they could order it and it would be here on Wednesday. I almost ordered it, but decided to call up my parents to see if their local Best Buy had it. They did and they offered to buy it for me as a Christmas gift. The wait is brutal, but I am thrilled that they offered to buy it for me. Do you guys think its risky to not open the TV until Christmas? I was thinking the Xbox One should be fine, but I may want to at least open up the TV and turn it on to make sure all is well.
