I think the time-management aspect has a lot of people having a more "wait and see" approach. I think interest and attention is at an all-time high though.
I feel they have showed way too much before release quite honestly

is it just me or has the hype for this toned down a bit?

We must have been reading different threads.

Hey do we know what carries over from Ground Zeros yet?

Personally I feel they haven't shown nothing Storywise which is what matters ultimately.
Sneaking suit.Hey do we know what carries over from Ground Zeros yet?
GAF doesn't count as part of everywhere...?![]()
Sneaking suit.
Glaz and Palitz.
Captured MSF prisoner.
Kojima.
Escaped prisoner.
CIA agent.
Bald soldier.
Prisoners.
How many of the standard prisoners that carry over is unknown. I imagine they'll limit it or I'd have a fully staffed Mother Base right at the start with my 300+ prisoner extractions.

how can carry anything over from GZ?
I meant I wasnt just talking about gaf.

Shit, I really need to extract Glaz and Palitz, it's too damn hard!
Save file.
If konami didn't force kojima to create GZ wow TPP would've been huge. I treat GZ & TPP as one full game.
True, but even an R&D unit full of Rank E staff will gain a good amount of levels and unlocks -- though any unlocks still need to be developed and you just won't have the GMP for a while. They could just make those guys all low skill level recruits and give you plenty of cause to keep extracting more in the field when you get to TPP. It'd give you a leg up but without removing that aspect of the game entirely.
It's not too difficult if you kill everyone you encounter but the two of them:Shit, I really need to extract Glaz and Palitz, it's too damn hard!

I'm so glad Ground Zeroes was a separate game, because Kojima seems on track to having the greatest tutorial level ever in The Phantom Pain.
Still wondering how the game starts -- not convinced we don't play the main GZ mission again when we boot up TPP. Especially since GZ owners are able to visit Camp Omega again...

What level is that?
I've wondered this. I can't imagine we'd play GZ again, considering it's been free on PS4, Xbox One and as a pre-order incentive on Steam... I get the feeling Camp Omega in TPP will probably be a new set of side missions, etc. for previous players?
When you consider that Camp Omega is also independent of Afghanistan, Africa and Cyprus... The only confirmed locations of TPP so far, It is a strange thing.
Yup camp omega is located in cuba
Though the thing is while we've seen an African demo, all other gameplay videos have been from the first two Afghanistan missions.I feel they have showed way too much before release quite honestly
For some reason I've had no interest to play Ground Zeroes. When it came out I told myself I'd play it before TPP came out, but here we are three weeks from release and I still have very little desire. I'm hyped as hell for TPP though.

Dont really understand why you wouldnt be excited now. It will tie directly into V and has great visuals and gameplay just like V. Basically it is a prologue to V. Kind of makes no sense, especially now that its free.
It's been in both PlayStation Plus and Games for Gold. You really should check it out! Even if you pick up a used copy, it's incredibly solid on its own.
I think it's worth it to get used to the mechanics.
Ehr.. I'm not sure that I really want to save this post of yours for future reference :\If Konami remove that poster, I will eat all 4 of my cats.
Well, I'm generally not to fond of when they break games up and release them separately, especially in this case, selling us a prologue for 30 bucks. Maybe I'll give it a rent though.
