I already have 2 bones and really don't need another TV but, I went to check out the Deal to see if I could convince myself. I walked away like a champ, no buy. I just couldn't justify the purchase.

I bought the bundle just because it was a good deal. The salesperson at my bestbuy said they had 11 TVs at open and sold out but could do instore pick up for WED on the TV. My office could use an extra X1 and I'll keep the TV for my bedroom. Im wondering if I should buy a chromecast or wait for the new apple TV.
I say wait. The Chromecast will still be there afterwards.

So I need to unload the TV now...eBay or Craigslist
which one is more safe and guaranteed purchase? :-P
If you can deal with the initial BS and lowballing (don't let people call you just text and email), craigslist will be the quickest and most bang for your buck.

ebay will be faster but you have paypal/ebay fees, plus shipping. Do it through craigslist and meet at a police station.

I guess I don't get why you even go if you say you already have 2 Ones and you don't need another TV. Why would you go in the first place?

40ms isn't great but I guess it could be much worse.

Oh it definitely can be worse. The majority of high end 4k TV's are about 45ms up to 110ms in input lag and that is in Game Mode, even some high end 1080p sets also suffer from poor input lag. Unless you are in competitive MP and play as partially a profession, 40ms is not too bad. Different people have different perceptions of input lag, so it can vary person to person. I generally have had sets that range from 20ms to 38ms and I have been fine.

A friend bought this set for his kids and he is also into calibrating TV sets as a side job, if he allows it, I will ask him to let me post his calibration settings for this set so that those that bought the set can use them.

That would be cool! All I do is pop in that Disney calibration Blu-Ray and do some basic stuff

Most high end 4k tv's are not near that high with a game mode setting. Leo Bodnar on the new line of samsung JS8000, 8500, 9000, 9500 are 20ms. Sony has similar input lag. Vizio has like 15-18ms. They've gotten really impressive.

lmao. That is what I do until I get time and money to have it ISF Calibrated. If you never had a professional calibration done, it is night and day difference when they are done. I would not do it for this set due to the amount it cost to have someone come out and do it, but it definitely is worth it.

I will post in this thread once I hear from him. Like most calibrators, they usually don't like too, but since this is lower end set, I think he would have no issue. I doubt people call out $300.00 an hour calibrators for sets like these.

I stand corrected with some of the Samsung sets, LG's seem pretty high according to this list:

Still some with high input lag, but again, 40ms is not too bad, especially for the cost of this set in the bundle.

Everyone saying this TV sucks is trippin. Beautiful picture, been there playing some Splatoon and it plays fantastic. Though I guess this I did just upgrade from a 7 year old 32 inch 720p tv..

Glad to hear that. Thanks for your input. As long as it has decent picture quality, I am happy. It will not be my primary TV as I have a Panny Plasma for that, but I still want a decent picture for a bedroom TV.

What exactly are people expecting for a tv bundled in with an xbox for $100? The TV is great for what it is.

If anyone is serious about getting a "good" gaming tv don't expect it to come in a bundle like this. For a TV marketed at people that normally only care about size of the screen it's not going to disappoint.

No prob! Obviously some people disagree with me so take it with a grain of salt, but I think it is a fantastic TV (and it's now my main one). I just popped in a blu ray to see if I noticed the judder but as far as I could tell everything looked great.

Awesome! I'm sure I will be happy with this set if you are happy with it as your primary set.

Just got the deal. Upgraded my five year old TV. Well worth the upgrade. Smart TV with WiFi (really impressed, especially at the price).

The Xbox is good too. It plays Halo.

I bought the deal today and am firing up my Xbone right now! Looks nice on the shelf next to my PS4.

As for the TV, had to order it because they didn't have any in stock so it should be in on the 13th.

I've been inching closer toward buying an Xbox One, but I already have a 32-inch 1080p set, a 50-inch 4K, and a 120-inch 1080p projector screen. I'd have a hard time justifying it.

One day I'd like to get a full top-to-bottom calibration, but I ain't doing it for this cheap set

Did the deal for online pickup but the Store didn't have the TV. So I got an Xbone for 299 as a nice consolation prize.

I really didn't need another TV, but I could use the Xbone for my bedroom now!
