Good that he adapted and is growing stronger because of it, I kinda wish his supporters would grow up with him rather than this emerging "You people happy now? Go bother someone else." vibe that im getting from some of them.
I don't know why you went straight for murder, but would you argue that racial inequality isn't on the very bottom of the GOP's priorities?
Richard Nixon committed treason by sabotaging Vietnam peace talks. And once the Blacks got their equality laws passed he decided to get tough on "crime".Man, Sanders seems to be just...a genuinely good guy from these videos. He's the only candidate in this whole saga that I feel is an honest-to-good person. In these past 3 elections a majority of the candidates have felt scummy or elitist to me. Was that different back in the 60's and 70's?
Are you suggesting that all the Republican candidates are racists and that BLM supporters, in fact, WOULD be shot if they showed up at a Republican rally? That's what I'm addressing.
Did you read what Cow Mengde wrote? I'll quote it for you: "They're not stupid. They know they'll get shot if they did that in a Reublican rally."
That's the part I was addressing.
Racial inequality should be on everyone's priority list. No arguments there.
But you were quoting samn, no fair! lol
With the amount of guns at a GOP rally I don't know if that possibility is far from reality, but that's another topic.

*grin*I'm sure this was just part of his plan and had nothing to do with black voters pushing him to be more explicit about what his ideas were to combat racial issues.
I'm sure he and others like him will cry themselves to sleep tonight. Sanders' supporters have been handwaving BLM issues so hard it's like wind energy is the new hotness. Take a page from your leader and realize that support is earned, not taken for granted. This really is the wrong way to protest posts. I can't take you seriously now that you written that.
*grin*

So has Bernie earned your support?*grin*

I'm so stubborn a person that people pushing me to do something I was likely going to do anyway would drive me nuts.
Honestly? He's improving.Your contempt for Sanders' supporters aside, how do you think Bernie is doing?
See above. I've always liked the guy and want him to do better. This pressure will make him - and all Democrat candidates watching this and learning - stronger in the long run.So has Bernie earned your support?
Honestly? He's improving.
It's tough to see a candidate you like - and I do like the guy - suffer the slings and arrows through ineptitude and outright incompetence. Whether that's on him or his staff, I don't know. What I do know is that he's taken more concrete steps in the last 48 hours to address the issues of a constituency that the Democrats cannot win without than he's done previously in this campaign, and that's real talk.
Now his supporters need to stop showing their asses and take a cue from the guy they're supposedly pulling for. There's a lot of damage to repair on that front if you want those votes.
Hit up Reddi- lol, never mindPersonally I only vote for the candidate who has the best behaved followers online. With this said, I am forced to endorse Adolf Hitler for President.
Then explain NetRoots. Actually, don't bother. This isn't the thread for it. This is a celebration! The protesters weren't even BLM protestors, they were Sarah Palin loving weirdos who think the Democratic party and all the black people in them are the real racists.

No, it's completely fair. You want to base your support on hypotheticals, that's up to you. The real world does not work that way. Saying that "Candidate X's supporters may also be cheesedicks, given the opportunity!" is some gradeschool shit.LOL.
Also, I want to add that unless Hillary is protested the same way that Bernie was, there's no telling how her supporters would react on twitter or elsewhere online, so it seems unfair for Bernie to lose support because of something that might also apply to other candidates for all we know.
Agreed 100%. This isn't going away by a long shot.Awesome. This is exactly what I said and hoped Bernie would do from the beginning.
Now I hope Hillary gets some fucking protests too. Not because my candidate got them and she didn't, but because she needs to be pressured to adopt this same sort of platform. This is a big issue, and we need to continue talking about it no matter who the nominee is.

I don't think it's anymore gradeschool than expecting someone to control how other people behave, who aren't part of his organization. The bottom line is that when you choose one candidate over another, you are making a comparison and saying one is better. If one is tested and the other is not tested, you can't logically claim one is better. If grade schoolers understand this, then adults have no excuse not to.No, it's completely fair. I'd expect protests at Hilldawg venues, but she's a former First Lady and Secretary of State so the Secret Service won't play that.
I also believe that she's much better prepared and coming at it from a smarter angle than both O'Malley and Sanders. She'll look at their planks, cherry pick the best portions and rewrite for herself. I'm also certain that her operatives have already reached out to the black community, something the other candidates have been woefully behind in (although O'Malley stepped up quickly).

All that needs to be said.
It's not a "defense." It's a matter of saying "Yeah, his supporters suck, but don't go voting for someone else just because of it."Holy shit, can someone explain to be why "Hillary supporters do it toooooooo!" is somehow a valid defense for the shit Bernie's supporters were doing?
I swear to god y'all aren't listening at all.
It's not a "defense." It's a matter of saying "Yeah, his supporters suck, but don't go voting for someone else just because of it."
I think the same point can be made without pointing at Hillary. When you point at Hillary, it makes it seem like you are defending the crap supporters. It's not a "defense." It's a matter of saying "Yeah, his supporters suck, but don't go voting for someone else just because of it."
If the politician is sympathetic to their cause, he will overlook any grievance he has about their approach in order to see the bigger picture of the social history that led up to what he was facing. That's what happens when you have a genuine caring politician. The question now, is whether the fake politician is going to keep getting more support from that demographic over the genuine one.So direct, obstructive action by ordinary people forces a politician to the left. This is just unheard of.
People wouldn't point at Hillary if she wasn't polling so well with minorities. If people express support for a candidate that has actually pushed for harmful policies, and then protest a different candidate that hasn't, then you can bet your ass that the supporters of the second candidate will feel like there's a double standard at play. And when you are being criticized for your faults, it's fair game as long as other people are proportionately criticized. Otherwise, you're being singled out. Having faults doesn't mean you have to be willing to let double standards go unchallenged.I think the same point can be made without pointing at Hillary. Distancing ourselves from any racist shit and pointing out that we can't control a vocal minority is probably a better idea and pointing out hillary44.com, I'm pretty sure black people didn't forget what was said about Obama.
#BernNotice
People in Bernie threads call him a non-contender. These rallies are getting bigger and bigger. Media is picking up on him, social media is picking him up.
I really feel the first dem debate is going to tell the tale.
But they were protesting the wrong way.So direct, obstructive action by activists forces a politician to the left. This is just unheard of.

Then don't, the second I realized that I would rather Bernie be our candidate over winning some internet argument, it was easier to see things more objectively.I really hate to contribute to this cycle, but this is all stuff he's said in the past. On multiple occasions. He's as "left" now as he's always been. Now he's just put it all in a newsletter. Not a bad outcome, of course.
But they were protesting the wrong way.
cnn said:Symone Sanders said her job with the campaign started Saturday, but the process of getting hired started three weeks ago with an hour and a half long meeting with the senator. She said one of the reasons she joined the campaign was because of the senator's willingness to listen to suggestions on race issues.
"I wanted to see just who Senator Sanders is, how he thought and how open he was to talking about his actual message and how open he was to suggestions," she said. "He is super flexible, he is cool and he has a great heart."
Sanders has been dogged by Black Lives Matters protesters since July. They interrupted his speech to Netroots Nation, a liberal conference, and have routinely called on him to address police reform.
Symone Sanders said the campaign would be putting out a detailed plan on the issue soon, but would not give a timeline. She said one key to winning support from the African-American community will be educating people on "who Bernie Sanders is."
After plenty of people in this thread, including me, have already said that a lot of Bernie's supporters are reacting the wrong way, it's only fair you should be able to admit that we're not "defending" their actions.Oh for fuck's sake, I give up.
This really is the wrong way to protest posts. I can't take you seriously now that you written that.

Why is trump all over that site? I really haven't followed hillary44 this election cycle. Did they really abandon Hilary over trump? Why?Yeah uh about that site. I don't even think they really like Hillary anymore.
