ABA was one of those characters that made folks at first glance feel like "aw damn this girl is slooooow" . Then suddenly you feed Paracelsus some blood and you can run, jump cancel and roman cancel the shit outta her stuff. Crazy ass design and gimmick. Loved it <3

Oh, when I said "show" I meant "give them GvG to play" =)

I do agree that you can do stuff on the fly in it more frequently than with other games, but the overall dynamics and visual language of the game seem very confusing and fast before getting used to it in my experience. Way more than SF or KoF.

Hm, maybe it's slower for the mind and the fingers, but not for the eyes? I certainly would say that it's slower than Marvel, but I can think about a lot of other 2D games that don't seem to be faster to me.

It is kinda "slow", but due to the nature of it's 2v2 gameplay there are more things to keep track of like surroundings, map, second target, weapon ammo, etc.. Which can make it look faster than it actually is.

Also the game doesn't have as many hectic situations as in 2D fighters, since it doesn't follow traditional gameplay. It offers long invincibility frames after a knockdown, doesn't really have resets, high/low mixups, strong vortex or anything that puts the opponent constantly under rapid pressure situations.

Invisible Secret Gardens.

Virtua Fighter question. What are the major differences between each numbered entry?
quick primer but there's lots of differences

2-introduction of crouch dash
3-introduction of evade button, uneven terrain, streamlining of throw/throw break system
4-removal of evade button and uneven terrain, added multiple throw escape system, breakable walls, tech rolling (knockdown), stagger system
5 (FS) - removal of multiple throw escape, added different wall hit states (wall stagger etc), lazy throw escape, new ch properties (hitting failed evade = ch, hit backdash with 3k = special stagger) step cancels more similar to 3

Thanks. Was interested in looking at some of the past entries.

Who's the easiest and best character? I'll need this info for when I get the game later this week lol.

Seriously though, for a Cammy/Juri player in SF4 is there anyone comparable that I could pick up in Xrd?

Last one I put any real time in was Accent Core. I mainly played Zappa and ABA. Really bummed that neither of them look to be making it in for the DLC :(

Well, let's see. Depending what drew you towards Zappa and A.B.A, I think any of the console-release characters could suit you.

- Sin's sort of an inverse of the Zappa/Moroha formula, where, instead of starting out weak and having to squeeze in a summon/bloodpack/keygrab, he starts out with most of the resources he needs, but things get riskier as he runs lower on food (kind of like when you're low on Moroha meter). You kind of get the best of both worlds though, because he has a lot more consistent ways of punishing opponents trying to chase him in neutral as long as your resources don't get too depleted

- Elphelt gets to play a bit like both of them too—Zappa, in terms of freedom in neutral and pressure, and Moroha A.B.A, in terms of gorilla buttons. If you liked both of them having multiple forms, Elphelt has her stances too

- Leo has less in common with Zappa as he kind of has to constant push his way in, but kind of gets to do so with better tools and mix-up than A.B.A had overall. He gets that A.B.A damage though. Plus, again, he does have a fairly simplistic stance if you're into mode-switching

None of those three are particularly hard to play. The challenge with Sin is opening people up; the challenge with Leo is not getting blown up in neutral; and the challenge with Elphelt is... developing your own style since she's so free-form (?).

My gut says Chipp, Faust, Millia and Sol might appeal to you too. Check out that blog article to get started either way.

So yeah, seems like Zeveron's twitter is gone and their HOTS team was disbanded because the company just ceased to exist. Looking a bit fishy.

Still struggling how companies make money off players or the benefits for the sponsorships. Unless they are doing stuff off-stage that makes it worth-while.

Was it here or in the HOTS thread that people were talking about that team having shady origins a week or two ago?

Remember the EG jackets? They collect sponsors who advertise via the players.

Just from this, Sin sounds hella appealing, though I'll still read through that article. Is he DLC?

Apparently, someone at Kappa thinks we're trying to get Kazunoko, lol. I don't know how making sure Kazunoko knows what's going on becomes sponsoring him.

What would we do with him if we got him? Send him gifs? Make him teach us? Hide him?
