I mean, horse play happens, sometimes people yell for hype or on friendly and joking terms. I will yell at my friend Alex calling him a scumbag until the end of time, and he will probably still laugh at me. If I had to stop yelling at Papstr whenever he plays Smash that would be no fun,

When somebody is being harmful or a huge, disruptive jerk though that's not cool :P
 
Max doesn't need to win anything. He doesn't even have to play and he's making more money than EMP in it's entire existence in a year.

Agreed.

Max does a lot for the seen. He makes the high level play seem fun and exciting to folks and when he gets into a game for real he goes the extra mile to do tutorials to help folks. He's a really good person the community needed.He doesn't really ever have to prove anything with tourney wins.

I have no idea what he earns though. I hope its high dollar. I worried awhile back when youtube started getting rough and taking vids away from folks and making it hard for some folks. He went into twitch chasing soon after that and I was glad and even wrote as much to him. He does some good production work and puts out a lot of content and thats still a lot of editing work even if its just "him playing with friends" as some put it. He's earning what he gets.

I'd like it if he added some anime coverage if even as a research side show casually. I think he'd find a lot of tools, and mechanics to enjoy that would help shape his feedback to his audience to educate them some more. I'd love a general "research" info series on fighters he hasn't got the time to dedicate to personally. Be nice to see him just sort of pick apart things again, but I get that stuff is a real time eater for someone as taxed with production and play demands as him.
 
I'd rather anime just get their own Max tbh. Max is good at what he does, he knows his audience and sells things to them well. It helps he genuinely loves the things he sells. I'd like to have somebody who genuinely loves anime games do that instead of asking Max to be that guy.

Jiyuna is kinda like anime Max. A much poorer anime Max.
 
anime players should just play street fighter since anime games don't matter once another anime game is announced the next week
 
Fortunately most newcomers won't know about those things coming into his stream.

Also Vulva is becoming the manifestation of the fuckanime gif, I like it.

From the outside the anime scene culture seems so clique-ish and bitchy to me. Like even jiyuna who is legitimately hilarious is hella negative sometimes and takes shots at other scenes.


But yeah he'd def be a good max like figure cuz he is entertaining and enthusiastic.

From the inside looking around, yeah it's hella like that lol I used to participate in that hard body. Then I realized I was hurting people and I've steered towards better directions.

I like Maximillian for the record, but I have a problem with this. I'm cool with how he's changed to daily content, and all he's had to do to keep views high and to make money. Thats life...I just wish that he presented a more complete perspective of what is out there and didn't laugh and poke fun at anime from time to time because so much of what happens that excites him or that he claims he hopes for is out there in anime fighters already. His Doom X-mas thing bugged me in particular. Especially now that I've seen how damned impressive the toolset and features of Arcana Heart are.

Max plays what he likes- there's nothing wrong with that.
 
I'm surprised nobody has pulled the "but marvel is anime so max covers anime!" card yet.

There's no exact route to success though. Did Max's stuff got exposure because it was about much more popular/known fighting games? Because it came along at the right time? Because it was well-made?
