That was already known. Some data miner was able to figure out Xur's inventory for several weeks in advance. He also learned that occasionally, Bungie would manually replace an item with another.

It's one of only two rockets in the game with both tracking and proximity detonation. Also has high velocity and blast radius, and Wolfpack Rounds means it's the only RL that can kill a full-health Bladedancer. It's a top-tier PvP choice assuming you can spare the Exotic slot.

And even though it's getting nerfed, I'm sure it'll always be a useful PvE Exotic despite not being the overwhelming 100% best strat everywhere like it is now.

Nothing. The proximity perk on the Gjallarhorn seems to be a hidden one, but it's definitely there.

Lessen damage done by Wolfpack rounds. It will still be a very capable rocket launcher though.

It's a hidden perk. Test it! As if the thing isn't OP enough it also has a super useful unlisted perk

To be honest though? Proximity is 100% required in PvP but more often than not a disadvantage in PvE. Way too often you'll kill yourself because you shot while an enemy was too close to you and it proximity detonates with you right there
