You're right. That manga image is the source for Bison. It's not like they're both stock animated takes on the nazis or anything. It's not like he's an evil dictator (referred to as Dictator) who dressed like the most notorious evil dictator in modern history. It came from anime.

They are only bad if you don't like them. Tropes that people like aren't tropes to them for some reasons...if you don't like them then suddenly they are the worst thing ever and are plaiging the game despite generally being just one small aspect. For example, yeah Ingrid is a stock Magical Girl trope..not even going to deny that. But if she were to be in the game, she would bring her own unique thing to the game. That is cool because those who are into that get a character that appeals to them. People are acting like Ingrid being in the game will turn all of the other cast into that one trope they aren't fond of.
The talk of things being TOO anime is overblown even if she gets in..as she probably would be it.
or Juri for that matter. Or Ryu for that matter.
Each character is their own specific trope. There is generally no trope that would be out of place in this series.

There is one time that I actually share my expression that I'm rooting for Robin rather than Chrom before Robin got confirmed. Someone told me that he was too generic to be in the game and the fact that we already have default design character in the game (aka Villager).
I got some people shat on me because I want Duck Hunt Dog to be playable character. They kept gave me some excuses and explanations, like Duck Hunt is better off as stage or assist trophy. It was glorious when Duck Hunt got leaked for Smash 4.
I believe that it's fake because it don't really match up with Ono's style on how he would give us the hints on upcoming characters. Example: he would take a picture of something being zoomed in. (like he did with Birdie and Necalli)

Yeah, her and Amingo were both really cool characters. D.D. from CFA is pretty awesome too. (I even like Rook.)
I hope Capcom decides to give them all a proper home someday like they did with Ingrid.

Yeah, I get the feeling when people say "not anime," they mean, "Not anime that I've watched, don't like, or been exposed to."

Yeah, I don't think that's a realistic possibility, sadly. (At least not presently.) Besides SF, I think Darkstalkers and Rival Schools are the only fighting IPs Capcom would give the greenlight to in the current climate.
I could see her as a PS character, but I still think Darkstalkers would be a better fit personally.

I don't think dark stalkers is a thing that going to happen for various reasons. You might not wish to hear my criticism of that entire series, but I understand why it might not be the most popular thing ever

I got excited for that Dudley tease, especially when I saw 2-3 new pages today. Then I realized it was fake, and the pages were all Ingrid discussion.
... Oh well. I never played the Alpha series or CFE, so Ingrid and Karin may as well be the same character to me. I'm not against either getting in, but there's others I'd want more. Like Dudley.

I mean, Dragonball (or anime for that matter) didn't invent the concept of harnessing/weaponizing chi, but okay. I guess now what I'm reading is that everything comes from anime, and anime was inspired by nothing before it.
Let's discuss some of my posts, I don't recall you taking issue w/ them before, but you seem deeply troubled by them. What did I say about SF's gameplay and aesthetic that was "laughably asinine"? Interested in seeing if you have anything substantial to say or if you're just worked up over something incredibly trivial.
Evil Ryu is just an easy cash in Ryu clone (as easy as it gets; splice Ryu with Akuma), so he isn't anime unless Ryu is anime. Same way Evil Blanka wouldn't be anime unless Blanka was anime.
And the way some people are talking, Blanka might be anime because there was an anime that showed a monster in the jungle, which surely was a concept that never existed prior.
