PS Blog: lets play Until Dawn

Already seen enough to know i'm there day 1 no matter what reviews say, so not watching this. Seen enough spoilers already :)

No way am I watching this. Already seen too much!

Want day one with no spoilers. Glad it's getting lots of attention though, I do so hope it's a successful game so we more from the horror genre.

I want to watch it, but I must relent. This is one of those games where it's best to go in knowing as little as possible and I've already seen too much.

Already pre-ordered. Now we wait.

Have this pre-ordered too. Decided it was looking so interesting that even if it turns out absolute horse shit I still need to try it (for science!). Not going to watch it therefore.

MGS looks like a 3000 hour game, so I'm going to save that for next year's lull and get it cheap then.

10-15 is pretty long yeah, but also seeing the bit about a running save that you can never reload to change decisions? That kinda wins me over a lot more.

I'm not sure why even, since you could enforce it yourself, but I like the choice on the developer end, I guess.

I'm unsure about this. I think it depends how scary it is trying to be. If it is proper horror movie style then it might not be my cup of tea.

Yeah and schlocky horror films can't really sustain themselves for longer than 90 minutes usually either, so I hope it's going to be much shorter than 15 hours.

I think the only thing that might make the length unbearable is if the setting is all in the same house. It's not like it's the mansion from Resident Evil.

Oh yea ,Mod should add Spoiler tag to thread title

Its Slasher style. think I Know What You Did Last Summer/Scream

Not watching for spoilers, but I can't wait to see how this reviews. I'm a sucker for well done games like this. Hell, I still play/read gamebooks! Cautiously optimistic with what I've seen so far, though.

This game wasn't on my radar til 2 days ago.

Seems interesting. Don't mind story driven QTE type games.

Are you choosing to play as different characters and approach the story from different angles or is the story more or less dictating that stuff ala Heavy Rain?

May pick this up being that i'm in the middle of a gaming drought

I have a feeling a single playthrough will be less than 5, and the longetivity will come from multiple playthroughs.

Not sure how it works really there are 9 playable characters.

Man, I'm actually hyped about this. I want to get the game, but I'm looking to see if my friends be down for a night with drinks and this game, it seems that this game is much more fun played with drunk friends.

I'm also glad this game is finally getting some coverage. I hated how this almost seemed like a non-entity in Sony's E3 presser and I am quite worried this won't sell well (considering MGS5 is also coming out on the same day).

But if Everybody's Gone to the Rapture managed to do well (supposedly) with even less fanfare, maybe this can?

This and gears for me next Tuesday. Not watching this, but that live action trailer I saw in that other thread yesterday was pretty good.

*SIGH* Kids these days with no respect for their elders that came before them.

/s see avatar for Slasher style

Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, April Fools, and Pumpkin Head are actullay during my time.

I just use IKWYDLS, and Scream because they seem more "campy" then the 80s slashers
