Street Fighter V Roster Discussion: P-P-P-P-PATTERN BREAKER

Damn, seems like they're going to do a reveal for every event coming up. Two in August, two in September, one in October for BGS and Sony will be at the Paris Games Week show so that might be another one.

Anyway, if they are going to show characters now, we have:

PAX, TGS, Brazil Game Show, Paris Game Show, Playstation Experience. I think those are all events that are remaining. We know, or assume, that they will show the new brazilian character in brazil game show, so if we go by your theory:

PAX - New character
TGS - Old character
BGS - New character
PGS - Old character
PSE - New character

In this case, there are two characters remaining. I think TGS will have 2 characters shown, one old and one new. And perhaps two in PGS ?

There will still be some non-hype SF2 character reveals who will just end up on a random tuesday or something.

Or like you said some events will have double reveal like E3.
TGS and PSX are events of that scale.

I don't think the SFV reveals will go on that long. I have a gut feeling that we'll know the entire roster before PSE.
 
So I didn't realize Guy had a bunch of additions in Omega mode.. So Guy going to be in SF5? I think his V-skill will be his bushin flip..

Because I recall people saying Omega characters being experiments for SF5... Well T Hawk obviously was Necalli, but I could see either Maki or Guy taking the ninja's place..

Exactly. There's still the extensive story mode that Ken Bogard mentioned that Capcom can reveal. Not to mention the Training Mode features of the final build & the Capcom Pro Tour integration within the game.

That's why I think they'll get the character reveals out of the way early. That way, nobody will be disappointed when they delve into the modes.

-story details/teases
-game modes/tutorials details
-online modes and features (including player profile details)
-DLC details (non-character DLC)
-quality of life stuff, new options/features/etc.
-weather/daylight cycles

It is possible, but I think PSE it's much too perfect to NOT have a reveal. Remember that alongside PSE, there is the Capcom Cup.

My guess is that PSE will be the final reveal.
 
PSE/Capcom Cup is final boss/character reveal . You can quote me on that , it just seems like the perfect way to finish it.


Who knows we might even get an unplayable final boss like Gill. Someone related to Necalli or something.

I'm just hoping for Juri so that I have a second chance at trying to learn how to play her. Her and Cammy are my two favorite characters in SF4 but I'm trash at both.
I'm bad period but I do better on other characters.

We got a hint of this in the Gamescom build, which listed the time of day & the weather of each stage.
 
Doesn't SF4 already have day/night cycles? I could have sworn some stage had it.

Edit - Nvm I just realized I am referring to the eclipse in Africa stage.


Weather would be cool af though. Gimme that SFA2 Grass field stage and Id get more hyped than any character reveal.

I wouldnt mind Sagat in the game just for this stage and a Ryu/Sagat battle. In all that UE4 glory ( please no more low res sheep)

Yup. I am thinking we get A story mode blowout at PSE this December, to attract the casual/ one the fence players. I honestly think SFV will have offline modes, and a full featured story mode that rivals MK.

With how reveals have been . The chances of getting Viper is literally the same as anyone else in the entire SF roster.

I really doubt SFV's storymode (if it even has one) will beat MK, let alone ASW's stuff.
 
SF3 roster needs to be represented. Best and most vibrant cast in the franchise. The more SF2 characters are announced the more i feel Alex and Urien wont make it in.

So I really, really, REALLY, don't understand why a large amount of people want R. Mika and Karin in this game. I don't care that much at all, but it seems there are many of you who do.

If they get put in, and I don't see R. Mika or Karin at least 1 out of every 50 matches (which is a measly number) , I will be disappointed In this wasted slot.

That depends on how viable Karin & R. Mika are (assuming they're in the game).
