New Kojima edited MGSV launch trailer coming

^ Michael Grade was controller of Channel 4 and pulled Brass Eye from the schedule, so whenever the episode was allowed to be aired months later, Chris Mortis inserted a single frame into the broadcast that said "Michael Grade is a cunt"

Finally, the FFX sequel I've been dreaming of.

I enjoyed MGS 1-4 but im on the fence at the moment. The open world design and mother base building is actually putting me off.

but.... i will watch the trailer when it lands and i suspect ill hit order straight after it :P

You should jump into peace walker really quick

Does a great job of slowly introducing the elements of the sideops/mother base building.
Obviously TPP will improve upon the system, but you will get a decent glimpse into how rewarding the system can be to the main game and how surprisingly fun it can get when you get a decent amount of recruits building your weapons/stats/base.

I wonder what the song will be used, an in-game musical track, or some other crazy good choice from music history.

Knowing Kojima, it'll be something amazing and life-altering like Nuclear and Elegia.

Fuck, I need to get to his iPod and see what's on it.

Even the Garbage song trailer was good. I liked the song before, but now all I can think of when replaying it, is that trailer.

Can't wait. The last Metal Gear Solid trailer ever.

Man. End of an era.

The last Kojima trailer, you mean. Definitely an end of an era and it is sad to think of, but if Konami decides to continue the series yeah, not the last MGS trailer ever.

I am confused tho, wasn't the E3 trailer suppose to be Kojima's last trailer? Geoff Keighley was even tearing up. I guess Kojima just being Kojima? XD

Last E3 trailer.

Nuclear is the worst of the trailers. Not Your Kind of People smokes it.

Hmm. I think they're about even but I enjoy Nuclear more. Elegia too. Only bad part of the Nuclear trailer is the scream at the end coupled with that bizarre series of electronic sounds.

This will be one for the books.

Hype!

We're you trying to reference Major Zero's quote: "This will be one for the record books, the worlds first HALO jump."?

Will not watch this trailer until I've completed this game.

September 1st is soooooooo close!

Elegia is indeed my favourite, though Not Your Kind of People is very close behind it, and Sins of the Father close behind that.

I just don't like Nuclear as a song very much, and I don't feel the cuts suit the song as well as the aforementioned trailer. Reminds me a bit of a tacky AMV.

Oh right, Sins of the Father. I totally forgot about that one.

I know what you mean about the cuts, but I felt that Nuclear is the stronger song, but Not Your Kind Of People was edited better.

You're alright.

Last E3 trailer.

The thing is very few would care for mgs since kojima won't be involved. The hardcore fanbase considers the series dead after sept1. And yes Konami is already pursuing another game.

Nuclear's lyrics seem almost tailor-made for TPP.

It's not a competition though, I think Kojima made excellent choices for all trailers. Closing off with Elegia is incredible though. I'm really excited to see what he's planning with this next [and final] trailer.

also really glad that he wants to keep spoilers to a minimum, because we all know how eager he was with showing pretty much everything for MGS3 and 4.

Yeah, the footage was timed very nice on that song. The little bit of a "sweeping" moment when the steady cam of Snake's face, while on the cliff in GZ, and the bit where he's waking up in the hospital, fit nicely.

I constantly go back and forth on which song was the best used. They all have great "mood" to them, for the game.

NYKOP might have the best edited cuts to song bits (and <3 Shirley Manson). It has this wistful, dream ending kind of feel, which works with BB waking up.
Sins of the Father has the best musical ramp up at the end (HellBound, Burning with REVENGE)
Nuclear has that grungy, dirty sound from BB's era (always think of Vietnam War-type music with that song), and I actually do like those weird electronic beeps/morse code sounds.
Elegia just reminds me of how crazy good some of that early 80's synth music was (New Order, Tangerine Dream), but I don't quite like the dialogue in the song. I think it's Ocelot's plain narration that bugs me the most.

Game is released in 10 days.
If you're making the trailer, you should have released it by now. No wonder Konami fired your ass Kojima.

MGS after this can fuck right off. Seeing them milk the shit out of it like Assassins Creed.

I'm fucking furious. Kojima should have taken the rights to MGS.

The Phantom Pain trailer is still the best one.

Imagine if that really was a different IP.

Remember when they tried to fool us that it wasn't Metal Gear and a different studio... but it didn't really work....

Then he turned round and did the EXACT same thing with P.T and got away with it completely?

Fucking Kojima....

I'm sad now.

You make it sound like there's not 40 minutes worth of trailers already out. It's a launch trailer. You typically don't see those until a few days before release anyway. I'm sure we'll see it by Tuesday.

Launch trailer should be out imo wed-fri close to release and after the embargo which ends this sunday. A lot of reviews out in the wild this Sunday beware of spoilers and this trailer will contain "few" spoilers supposedly if you guys remember mgs4 you guys should skip it. Just watch it after you play the game.
