Metaphorically is what I got out of it.
His actions is going to make him become what he hates, in the same level of skullface or worse.

Surely songs that you would say suck.
Metaphor for what?
Eh, not really a good trailer.
What a fucking stupid trailer. Good to know who directed and edited the trailer up front though, that question would've been on my mind for weeks otherwise.
We live in a world where people admonish Michael Bay and praise Hideo Kojima. Which is funny.
Y'know what, I think people are seriously misinterpreting the Skull Face part of the trailer - And that's exactly what Kojima intended.
I mean... It looks LIKE Skull Face - Butsome of the facial characteristics in that shot look a bit different from Skull Face. Take that as you will - Though it is questionable since there's no eyepatch on that "Skull Face", whereas, ahem, Burnt Boss is still wearing an eyepatch.
Now - What gets me is though... Back to the reveal trailer for MGSV. The first-person hospital scene where Kaz points to the camera and asks "What about him?!"
That is what I am talki about, like perhaps in this game,.you aren't playing as big boss at all
I didn't have hype before. Now? Must buy.
My hype levels would have been raised to the max if he had also recreated the other Snakes using the fox engine.
So,how spoilery is the trailer?
So fucking tempted to watch it,i won´t resist until the release day.
comes afterSkullface. So it's a little strange. If it's some sort of chronology, he should be a half dead burnt corpse in Eva's shed and then restored Big Boss in MGS4.burnt/Outer Heaven emblem head Big Boss
Kojima's fanbase not understanding metaphors is probably why he lays it down so thick in the writing department

IDK, I'd think some call backs to the first two games would be more relevant - Unless of course Burnt Boss isMG2 Big Boss.
Uhhhh.. What does "V has come to" mean?
Why does kojima keep putting that in his videos? Is this just one of those "Engrish" things?

This is amazing.

"Come to" as in wake up. Probably talking about Big Boss waking from the coma.
Oh god this trailer, my heart! It's hitting harder than I thought, the first half of trailer encompassed a huge part of my gaming love and years. It's genuine heart heartache from me.
It's an end of era of the greatest gaming series ever, and after so many long years from my youth to adulthood....I have to say goodbye...

fuck it,i watched it.
For someone who has been a MGS fan since the first game for ps1,the first half of this trailer made me cry, damn feels.
The end of an era indeed, thank you Kojima..thank you so much for the memories.
I'm sort of jealous of people who started the series when MGS1 actually came out. My first MGS was Portable Ops and I didn't play the mainline series until the Legacy Collection came out, so like two years ago. To have gone through all those years anticipating each release and experiencing the games as they came out must have been awesome.
I really love the series, but I definitely feel left out of the long term metal gear fan circle. I can see how the launch trailer would make you cry (although I'll admit I got a little emotional in the intro).
Relevant?

Well... that is definitely an overwhelming Metal Gear O_O
