One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 |OT| Feel The Pain Of Koei and Namco Bandai's Victory

In an ideal system, you should be able to invite a friend to a party and play through story mode together. (Or at the very least, attempt any multiplayer map without having to
set up invites after every single battle.)

The rescue system is "neat" but really annoying for friends if it's the exact same as PW2. I need to test that. (You couldn't lock it to friends only, so you had better hope your friend was faster than the game's matchmaking.)

The problem my friend and I encountered with this wasn't the invite system, but that the game required one of us to have beaten the level before we could play it with the other. We bought the game thinking it would let us play through the story mode for the first time together. Disappointing to say the least. The game is still loads of fun though, even for a complete One Piece newcomer like me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel like other Musou games have been that way too. Have you considered doing the couch mode for share play?

How do I turn off the system notification of "Gameplay recording stopped because you started a blocked scene" or whatever? They seem to have blocked every cinematic in this game...kind of excessive there, Namco.

hit the share button, then in the share menu hit the options button, then you can disable it in there

Yeah that's also a bad things. All the Warriors games online on any console work like this and it bothers me.

why can't a dub be dlc? I'd gladly pay for it; until then PW2 will have to be enough:(

I'd love for this series to do so well that getting funimation cast is a no brainier for the next entry. (Even though that won't be for a long while.)

Sadly that probably has to work with the anime in terms of popularity outside of Japan.

Does the game have the same limitations in split screen as online? I was planning on playing through the whole story split screen with my girlfriend. Will this work?

As far as needing to beat a stage first? I doubt it. I can't recall any musou games w/ split screen which had that same restriction as the online modes tend to, annoyingly, have.

Can someone given me an idea what the improvement is from PW2 -> PW3?
I am on the fence about this game. On one hand I like One Piece and Musou and all that, on the other hand, given PW2 is really good, I have to admit I am a bit burn out after 100hrs of playtime.

Should I jump on PW3?

Go SteamGAF, go!

Based on the amount of enemies at 33s are you sure?? The colors look a little washed but it looks slightly sharper., but the amount of enemies to me suggest PS4.

its in between ps3 and ps4, look at the background pc is less detailed than ps4, different shaders and lighting too.

the enemy count is the same yes but other things arent,

Its a PS3 port with higher enemy count, notice the lack of outline that is in the PS4 version around Luffy in PC version. The PS4 version is also more colourful than the PS3 version as well.

I'm trying to fit this somewhere in my buying schedule for this year, though that's proving to be quite hard considering my priorities. :P

Ever since Hyrule Warriors I've been meaning to give the PW series a try. Used to be a big OP fan, though I haven't been keeping up with the series too much ever since the timeskip.

Is this one better than the first 2 games? As far as content goes I suppose it must be since Musou usually improves in that regard with its sequels, but how does the "story mode" compare with the previous ones for example?

I'd totally send someone a dollar for a copy.

Edit: Or a Steam gift copy of Don't Starve & Don't Starve Together and/or Tropico 4 Collector's Bundle. Or one of numerous other codes I have.

Double edit: Done.

Nevermind then! lol

Is the difference between this and the first PW game noticeable? I mean, even for a musou game, it was lacking in gameplay. I hear this one is a lot better but never given examples as to why.

lol the OT name. Can't believe people remember that enough to make it the title

I'll probably give this a shot some time but it's coming out at a bad time AKA anywhere in the vicinity of MGS V
