Similar wording and everything.
We receved today the collector's edition in Chile:

Problem is... it doesn't have any DLC codes (the Day One edition has it).
We're waiting for an official answer from Konami.
Anyone can confirm if your edition has codes?
dodged a bullet there, that is trash
Probably been answered in here or another thread, but does anyone have a good story recap video I can watch? I've played 3 and 4 fully and some of 1 and 2(though by the time 4 came out I saw recap vids around that time and got fully caught up). I haven't played Peace Walker though and that's obviously really important to this story.. I read the backstory in Ground Zeroes but I'd like a telling of the whole thing to get ready.
How so? Not bad for $100. Not as expensive as other CEs either.

Honestly reading this timeline is not only a faster way to go through that, but it is more in-depth and it allows you to keep track of the story a lot easier.
Yeah the price of the CE here in Australia is ridiculous - I'm really glad I didn't get it now.The CE is an extra $170AU compared to the day one edition. Had no idea it was only $100US. I might look into that.
I actually like it, and for $40 extra I cannot complain at all, I want it
I see lots of people here got an early copy (I hate you), any impressions from gaffers?

Let me guess,From the 2 - 3 hours I played so far it's incredible butthe opening is what's really amazing and will stick with you for a while. Nothing so far is of that level at the moment.
Let me guess,it's more linear cinematic style MGS in the opening?

Yeah
I heard itsan hour and a half
You could say that, it also acts as a tutorial of sorts. Let's just say that you will be having shit tons of questions and very few answers, if any. It's insanity and quite brutal.
EDIT: Here is my reaction to it in gif form.

I know reviews are incredible and a lot of people are going to enjoy it but I feel the comunity will really be divided when it come to this game, MGS4 will look like a huge consensus by comparison...
I knew it, always wanted this game to be like old style MGSs, preferably current gen only with insane visuals, I'll buy this game cause I'm a fanboy but I had a mixed feelings about it since it was announced as open world

You can bet on it. You see my tag? My reaction was the complete opposite.
Your reaction tomakes me want to chicken the entire game just to see it, lmao. But that's what I love about MGS, it's all about the insanity with realistic military/political issues and such sprinkled on top.the ending
Buy it now for ps4, buy it for 5 dollars on steam in six monthsI'm having a real tough time deciding whether to get this on PS4 or PC. I have a PC capable enough to handle this on max at 1080p/60 no problem. But at the same time I got Ground Zeroes on Steam (after having already beaten it on PS4) and it just didn't feel right playing an MGS game on PC! I know it's irrational.
Don't worry just yet man. The Metal Gear franchise has many kinds of fans with all kinds of tastes. PersonallyI found the twist to be terrible, but as I said, others are saying it is amazing.
My personal advice has always been: "Play and judge for yourself". Don't let others' opinions to influence you on what to play and what to skip. Play everything that catches your attention.
I really, REALLY hope you like the plot of this game, because if you like that sort of thing, then you are in for one heeeeeeeell of a ride.
You guys should really stop discussing the game in here like you are.

I will have this game tomorrow! A local game shop is selling copies early.
Not necessarily a legal issue; that's a grey area. But giving fake or inaccurate personal information (name, payment, address, locale, etc...) is fraud and directly comes under Microsoft and Sony's rights to ban you and cancel the purchase. Not worth the savings IMO.
Going to ask this in here because it's strictly gameplay related and I really don't want to venture into the spoiler thread.
How much tagging is required in this game for completion and trophies? Having to tag everyone was easily the worst part of GZ.

I'm not far into the game so I have no idea, I hope others who played and are far or finished the game, can help. As for trophies, nothing is shown. I'm playing it on XBO and all of the achievements are secret so I don't want to risk going to search the net for what they are so instead I'll opt for doing so when I finish the game.
Have been able to see what exactly transfers over from GZ?
What is going on here?
Why has everybody the game already?![]()
