I feel like, like me a bunch of people talking crap about her design, are familiar with wrestling, but still think she's dumb. Don't blanket statement it, the reason she's getting criticism, is because she looks like the way she looks. Like she feel into rick flair, the ultimate warrior, and Machoman's closets. If she looked like a female undertaker or Bret the hitman heart, these criticisms wouldn't exist.There is another subset of wrestler they probably like. Alex will probably be for them, because if my redesign senses are right , he might be more tripple H -ey. You like what you like and they like what they do and thats fine. But alot of folks aren't unfamiliar, they just think your thing is dumb. And thats ok you like it.

I think only characters that share certain normals AND have fireball+dp count as shotos. So Ryu, E.Ryu, Ken, Akuma and Oni. Everyone else plays way too differently to groupm them together.

This... is a dumb comment, its totally unfair to assume everyone who criticizes her costume doesn't know about wrestlers, and second just because the source material is stupid doesn't mean it should absolve the criticism from the character.

Like yeah, she is based on dumb wrestler costumes, her costume is still dumb. But who cares, her mechanics do look interesting in SFV at least.

Edit: Its a cold day in hell when me and Village are thinking the exact same thing.

You say this, but I didn't see a turnbuckle appear from the side of the stage, they removed the ♥s from her boobs and i didn't see a lot of her specials from SFA3 most notably her air command grab which looks like it got replaced by an AA grab. Be excited but don't fool yourself that they didn't tone her down.

On the cover of the Capcom Secret File from the arcade version of Alpha 3, Mika is teamed up with a black haired female wrestler named Yamato Nadeshiko (a phrase which actually means the Japanese concept of the "perfect" woman), who works for the same wrestling organization as Mika. She is also sometimes her tag-team partner

Her air command grab was pretty redundant, I'd rather have more anti air options than her c.MP

The cut out were her boobs are is in shape of a heart, hell she has more cleavage than ever. Changing the Ringpost to a tag team partner isn't toning down.
 
R.Mika.....yes, thank you......bring back 360 command grabs please.....hcb and hcf needs to die in a fire.


I also wish they would update the textures on characters and improve the hair, they look a bit too plasticy and plain.
 
The amount of comments criticizing her looks when her outfit is wrestling-attire-101 are baffling and frustrating to me at the same time. I'm glad Capcom still gets to have some fun in their character design and does not look into our current "cover it up" culture too much like Tecmo and Namco are at the moment.
 
What's the point of beating someone with your ass if it isn't with your bare ass?

Yes, it's perfect. Rainbow streams came out and everything. She gets a tag partner so it's not even fair lmao.

I wonder how long it will take people to realize she's Japanese.
