R.Mika confirmed for Street Fighter V

Wrestling moves in fighting games are always the hypest. Have to say that I don't like her costume though, hopefully she'll have better ones.

Mika’s faithful tag-team partner will deliver a surprising, high flying attack at the opponent from different angles: neutral (body splash from above), hold back (dropkick from the front), hold forward (dropkick from behind).

The different variations keep opponents guessing and afraid to hit buttons, perfectly setting up R. Mika’s damaging command throws.

you know sf3 had gill, sf4 seth (not counting the possible follow ups)

Pandering is another word I think people misuse.

Is it only pandering when you don't like it?

and yeah she could be more clothed and all that jazz but that is not the type of character she is. She is a wacky over the top wrestler type...her dumb design fits all of that. You guys are asking for that aspect to change and that goes against the entire fcking point.

and again I am understanding of the issue at hand here. I fucking love MGS but Quiet design is stupid (even with the "reasons") and even with MGS' weird sense of humor...the fact that the game wants us to take the character seriously is what clashes. Mika is a silly ass character so why the fuck would she be this conservatively dresses character...and on top of that Street Fighter is also a silly ass series all the way..so again this issue is barking up the wrong tree yet again and it is so annoying because it really feels like what some people want is this super sterile gaming industry in which every design is safe as to not offend some bleeding heart....and I cannot stand for that. As long as it fitscits world, character and tone, any design is fine.

another thing is that this Mika is stacked as shit.... its not even a body type that is generally present either.

Yeah I was hoping they would give her a better costume. Will still play her though, maybe they will give her a sick alternate costume.

Assuming now that the leak was correct and the remaining returning characters are known. Anyone else find it kind of sad that Capcom seems to have dropped all the martial artist inspired characters?
Where are my boxers, nak muays, karatekas and taekwondoins?
Even though I love chun li kung fu doesn't even feel properly represented.

anyway it's cool to see, the roster needs some freshness especially since it's fairly small out of the gate

This is just the initial roster, a lot more will come later.

Besides, we don't know the fighting styles of the 3 brand new characters that are yet to be revealed.

If you can make things better, why wouldn't you? There was opportunity here, but it wasn't taken, and that's where my disappointment is. I'm not asking for things to be a church. People have a right to be sexualized if that's what they want. Obviously we're not dealing with a human being here.

My argument is you can have a wacky over the top wrestler without the booty-eating renaissance pt2 in Super form coming out, and titties overflowing. That's all.
 
Again people need to remember that Street Fighter isn't a super serious fighting game in terms of fighting games. I guess because it's the most popular and/or for a lot of people the only fighter they play I guess that's why they think that.
 
Best thing about this is that it likely means El Fuerte isn't in the game.

Mika's hair looks terrible but that's par for the course so far in SF5. Other than that she looks fun and silly.

Not at all surprising when Cammy didn't get a fresh look, ass and crotch shots galore.

At least it makes sense for Mika to dress like that considering the kind of character she is, not so much with Cammy.
 
After watching that trailer with the tag moves and reading about her V Skill being her cutting a promo in the middle of the fight, I am ALL about this character right now. So long Bison! Was fun while it lasted!

Zangief sometimes looks a bit goofy, but I think his original incarnation may be appealing to some women.

Q's origins are being a secret sub boss right?

16 matches the amount of characters SF4 started with in the arcade initially, but the actual characters made was 19. Akuma and two unplayable boss characters. It would fit Q showing up unconventionally.

Yeah. At least there's some sort of precedent, but the Cammy reveal really said everything that needed to about how Capcom's run by a bunch of shitty oldsters.
