Got to love open world games. I just laugh at stuff like this and keep on having fun.
I have a question about the Magnum Opus.
Does it ever stop looking like it is made entirely out of rust?

Heal up quickly so you can play an actual good game.
Yeah, you unlock different paint schemes after defeating bosses - you can also apply crudely painted decals. Here's my Opus at the moment;

I can see how you game with kids but what does your wife girlfriend make of it? Doesn't she want time with you too? It's the balancing that's the issue for me.
Still hyped for MM though!
It does but I don't see where the bits are in game. Downloaded it etc.
Can't get enough of the explosions in this game, although I'm pretty sure this should have blown me up as well, lol;

Can't we all just get along?Why does it have to be a competition, are we in the playground?
I can actually enjoy more than one game. Shit like this sounds so dumb. That goes both ways, with all of the shit posting against this game in favour of TPP in this thread.
I almost gif'd this earlier when you posted the video. Decided against it as some people would get real attached to it and cry shit-game, glad to see everyone here taking it in stride. You guys do me so proud sometimes.
Holy shit, that looks fun.
Car combat is SO satisfying, especially when going after convoys - taking on a heavily guarded convey usually leads to an epic cross-map chase, like something out of the film. So much fun.

For the folks playing...I don't see the reason to upgrade each stronghold with the same upgrades after you do one of them? I can just fast travel to the upgraded one I want and replenish ammo, fuel, etc. and then keep playing. Seems like they should have only included certain upgrades in each stronghold. Would give the player more reason to complete the upgrade projects in different locations.
I was just coming in here to post this! I just spent a good 20 mins or so chasing down a convoy....
I love how you can pan the camera around in cockpit view.

I am seeing so many little details and nice touches in all of the footage I'm watching.
Has someone who hasn't played MM, that's whats so compelling about each convoy. Its not a quick minute or two event, they can stretch out over time and distance.

Whoa. I didn't know that. Really nice touch.
A few questions gaf.
Are there bosses on this game.
Do you just upgrade your own vehicle?
Can you take or store enemy vehicles in your base?
Are there areas from the start you would be totally underlevelled for?
Do the enemies scale with your level or naturally get tougher as you go?
A few questions gaf.
There are a few "top dogs" that you need to beat in order to get new paint jobs for your car.Are there bosses on this game.
Yes, but you can actually build what are called archangles with different body styles and different defense, attack, speed, etc. for each oneDo you just upgrade your own vehicle?
Yep. Just drive them back to your base and you add them to your collection. You can drive them whenever you want. Some of them even have other abilities (like dropping mines)Can you take or store enemy vehicles in your base?
As you level up things definitely get easier. Your car is pretty weak at first and can't do much at all. Enemies will not scale, they just keep throwing more and more different types of enemies at you that fight differently.Are there areas from the start you would be totally underlevelled for?

Yes. Top Dogs basically. The smaller regions in the Great White have leaders you can take out to lower Scrotus' influence. I think he first top dog is Gutgash who you have to take down.
Yeah, only the Magnum Opus can be upgraded but you can drive other vehicles including enemies and if you take it back to a stronghold you get more scrap from it than what you would get if it was destroyed. If you want your Opus back though you only need to shoot a flare and Chum brings it to you.
Last points...don't really know the answer but some areas are gated until you level up or get the sufficient car upgrade.
Someone can tell if there is difficulty setting in this game ?
Thank you
So does this game feel like Mordor?
Because Mordor was a bit shit, especially after the first 10 hours or so.

Yeah, some cars have nothing but spikes on them that can do major damage and some cars I think they are called Kaboom Bugs carry huge gas tanks and if they ram you it completely tanks your health on the car.Please tell me you mean melee and car fights when it comes to different enemies.
I really hope we get a Fury Road like Chase at the end. That would make this game GOTY.
Double whammy;

There's about as much continuity in Mad Max as there is in The Legend of Zelda, i.e. little/none. The old movies don't fit together with Fury Road. MM1 has Max as a member of more or less a legit police force, the apocalypse either hasn't happened yet or has only very recently happened and society is still limping on with him as a full blown adult. In Fury Road the apocalypse happened so long ago that new societies with their own culture have sprung up and it feels like Max and Furiosa wouldn't have been alive long enough to remember the before time - only the really old women and Immortan Joe seem to be old enough. But Max explicitly says that he was once a cop, implying it's "kind of" the same timeline as the old one? But then Max has a family and other people he seems to have failed to save, and the flashbacks are of a child of the wrong gender being killed for it to be a flashback to the first movie. He is credited as Max Rockatansky just like the old movies and we're given no real indication that he's supposed to be a different person. There's a fan theory he's the kid from MM2 that took on his persona, but from what we know of that kid he grew up with his tribe, became the leader and went north, and the way that narrator speaks (as an old man) doesn't feel remotely similar to Fury Road mad max.
Which is why I said it's a bit of a stretch. But yeah, you're right, there isn't a specific continuity and it's all very loose. I just like the idea of Toecutter being "reincarnated" into Immortan Joe as it really puts a bigger meaning as to why Nux is so confident in saying, "I live, I die, I live again." If anything it's just my simple interpretation.
I thought that was such a cool fan theory when I read that.

Plenty of variety in enemy types too. There is an entire section in the pause menu that gives a bio on each enemy type for both cars and enemies and the best way to deal with them.
Was trying my best to take down another convoy and out of nowhere this war party shows up with dudes jumping out of the back of truck to fight me. I was forced to stop so chum could do his repairs.

This sounds better than any Ubisoft game. And better than Batman and Mordor.
Tthere are also certain enemies that only come out at night. They've talked about "The Buzzards" faction. Their cars are more spiked than other factions plus they have red glowing eyes and seemed a little more aggressive from the tiny bit of gameplay they showed of them.
