I don't think we're gonna see that happen, and it makes me very sad.
Complain to Capcom very very loudly and it might.

Do you need ps+? Wanna check it out
lol thats not going to change things, due to the amount of costs / upkeep that go into running an online game which is far beyond just "localizing" a title.
Its the same reason why PSO2 has not come out in the West.
Yeah apparently they're already doing cross-promotion type stuff for Japanese advertisers? That's one (of many reasons, I'm sure) PSO hasn't been brought over right?
In any case, there's already a English fan-translation team planning to work on it. They released a (small) patch during the second beta and another (I think, might be the same) crafting a guide. Personally, I'm okay with that.
Just tried the game launcher on PC, and it's unbelievable how slowly it loads. It actually feels like a PS3/4 app being emulated on PC or something insane like that.
I really want this game to come to the west. Come on, Capcom, if you can't do it on your own, partner up with Sony. Scrap the PS3 Version if you have to.
Dear Players, Partners and Friends,
Today, we are pleased to announce that we have been acquired by Columbus Nova, an investment management firm well known for its success with its existing portfolio of technology, media and entertainment focused companies. This means that effective immediately SOE will operate as an independent game development studio where we will continue to focus on creating exceptional online games for players around the world, and now as a multi-platform gaming company. Yes, that means PlayStation and Xbox, mobile and more!
As part of this transition, SOE will now become Daybreak Game Company. This name embodies who we are as an organization, and is a nod to the passion and dedication of our employees and players. It is also representative of our vision to approach each new day as an opportunity to move gaming forward.
So what exactly does this mean for you? It will be business as usual and all SOE games will continue on their current path of development and operation. In fact, we expect to have even more resources available to us as a result of this acquisition. It also means new exciting developments for our existing IP and games as we can now fully embrace the multi-platform world we are living in.
Our games and players are the heart and soul of our organization, and we are committed to maintaining our portfolio of online games and pushing the limits of where we can take online gaming together.
Thank you for your continued support. See you in game!
Pretty sure that's the class that was shown at the very end of the launch trailerNot very new, but apparently the artbook teased a new class that doesn't look similar to any previous class. If it's a monkish/magic hand-to-hand class, I'm all for it.

Use a vpn to bypass the ip blockHow do I play this in america
It's free to play. Buying it is optional. How do I buy it
If I use a vpn, where do I get access to it
Everything is in japanese
Are there impressions of the the PC version from beta tests and the like? Same day launch?
Climbing monsters is handled a bit differently, aside from that it feels pretty much like the original DDO. Movement might feel a bit different because of the online nature of the game, but that's about it.
steparu mentioned you only need vpn up till the login launcher
One more hour until the free service starts, I believe.
If someone is making a thread, now is the time.
Most important question, is there magick archer?

Most important question, is there magick archer?
Same.I'm just gonna try again in the morning. My launcher keeps wigging out and goes into a weird web browser where the login info should be. Never did that in Beta #2.
