Them being part of the big bad corporation I suppose it's hopeless to expect proper wheel support this time around? By proper I mean support for perfectly working wheels, even Forza branded ones, that they didn't support with Forza 5/FH2?

Mod packs can be purchased that give you benefits such as more grip in races?

If true I don't like the sound of that at all.
 
Just extrapolating some career info from that Polygon video.

There appears to be 5 volumes, Super Street, Sport Icons, Grand Touring, Professional Racing and Ultimate Motorsport.

It appears that each of these volumes have 3 series in them, so 15 series in total (in the video, the super street series have 1 of 15, 2 of 15, 3 of 15, which I am assuming means of the total available series).

In the Super Street volume, these are, Challenger Series (4 races), Club Circuit series (5 races), and US Tour (6 races).

I would imagine later volumes have more races in each series?

It seems that, in each series, you pick a car from a particular "genre" of cars, and the AI uses cars from the same genre pool.

It's not available in multiplayer, don't worry. And if you don't want to use, just ignore it, just like any other option (auto-braking, rewind, ...).

It's funny how shit the people reviewing these games are at them. God awful driving in these preview videos.

And then see them complaining about the difficulty for being too easy or too hard.
One thing I wish, make that racing line disabled by default, it's bothering me for years that people try to stick to it like glue on youtube and so on.

I think it is a big mistake, that the full line is activated by default. I tend to use the breaking line only, because I am simply not the best in racing sims. However, with no line at all, I bet many would fail miserably because they do not know how to take which kind of corner.
