Holding A/X while driving a vehicle will put you in stealth mode, similar to using d-horse's "stealth"
If you run over a pole carrying electric wire, the wire will fall down and electricity the car and you, forcibly ejecting you from the vehicle and making you do that weird stay awake qte.
Fun fact: D-Walker can act as a lightning rod if there's a storm going on. I found it out the hard way the first time I used it. The result is what you describe.
By the way, could anyone tell me (in spoilers preferably so others don't see it) where can I find the tape with Take On Me? Is Final Countdown collectable too somewhere?
Yeah, the rule of thumb is to just proceed through story missions and keep an ear out. In my experience tapes are just scattered throughout story missions, less so in the open world.
You can't play it stealth. You can't play it with no kill.
Both of those have been staples since MGS2.
It's just a BLOW SHIT UP level, and that's not MGS to me. This entire game, while having great moments outside of this level, are not MGS to me. And, it's frustrating. This is really an anti-MGS to me. No Snake (Big Boss is in it by name, but not by character. And Ocelot is a fucking mess as a character.) and such.
Unless the last dozen or so missions pack it up, I'm at a loss. I can't play this as a MGS game. I have to play this as a dumb action shooter game or else it is fucking frustrating like this mission. I have to kill and blow up shit with rocket launchers in this level, and that hasn't been MGS for me for a while.
Spoilers for up to mission 25
Also, if you've been playing stealth, you now need to research rocket launchers and grenade launchers, which take time and result in your Mother Base crew dying because.. god forbid you played this as a MGS game prior to this mission.
So... having not played the game yet: is Quiet's outfit in the game as distracting as the promotional materials make it out to be? I honestly cannot see myself taking her seriously as a character, Kojima's asinine reasonings be damned.
Yeah. I wouldn't get the game if I were you. It's been really tough fighting the urge to masturbate for the 20 hours I've had to play the game. Very distracting.

It's pretty stupid. I think the justification is kind of decent, but I hear it gets worse (I'm just under half way through). She's actually one of the better characters in terms of how she's written, though. Really interesting/compelling.
I had this problem yesterday but that's because I played on a different PS4 than last time and thus actually had to download some stuff from psn (the day 1 stuff). Which I couldn't, because PSN was down so I was unable to play the entire evening.
Did you move your save file or play on different Ps4s maybe? If not I have no idea what the problem might be.
DLC for the game can be found by pressing down when hovering over the MGSV icon in the home menu, and then look for Add-ons somewhere in the menu. Going to the PS Store never works for me. So maybe try that?
All the addon's are downloaded apart from the XP boost which it hasn't let me do since day 1 but I figured that was because of MGS online being down and it says preorder next that one specific addon as well.
I have deleted and reinstalled the game 3 times now from PSN and still getting the same error, I really don't want to delete my save file and start again but looking like I might have to try that now as I can't think of anything else to try.
Edit:
Deleted save file and now game works perfectly so must have been corrupted somehow. Be careful people as I don't know how it happened and would hate for it to happen to anyone else.

Man that mission 16, I really hate when it turns from sneaky sneaky to pure shooter. Also the asked me if I want to wear chicken hat, I've seen it in screenshots and trailers but what does it do?
Enemies will ignore you for up to three detection each...the fourth one will alert them.
The easiest way to do mission 16 is just use fulton, if you can't do that them get inside a Tank/ATB and keep your sniper (or shotgun) ready. But yes it's annoying when the game forces you like this, Deus Ex: Human Revolution had a similar kind of issue with its Bosses.

I love it. Thrown myself in a Jeep and driving from outpost to outpost to my next objective, taking over guard posts along the way and fultoning them out is just so much fun for me.
This game is awesome, i can't stop playing it, and doing side missions to improve motherbase and develop new gears. I played all the Metal Gears so far and this is definitely the best, maybe it lacks a bit in cinematics and story than the others but it's definitely the bigger and better one gameplay wise, and actually the story is pretty good too, just take your time and listen to tapes
i didnt even use the tank, i killed the skulls with my rocket launcher, i think that was the difference, and yes the fulton at rank 3 makes a lot of things easier

WTF
spoilers from a cutscene at mother base with quiet
sorry but the shower scene was too much, i unlocked it after having the bond at max, too much fanservice, its one of the few things i dont like about PP, how they handle Quiet...

Come on. In a story-heavy game you want to be able to relate to the characters and not constantly be reminded of the fact that it was written by a middle-aged Japanese sleaze.

Nah tapes can be collected soon as map is opened after first mission. I got a list of tapes if people want it I can PM. As not sure if tapes mentioning what chapter is viewed as a spoiler or not
Quiet makes a noise every time she has a guy's head in her sights. It's the same as DD's bark.
Also there are missions where you can't fulton targets. If they're injured badly the game doesn't let you. You have to chopper extract them. It's great.
Yeah but DD's bark is every so often and not as annoying, because it's a single bark.
She just never shuts up, it's insane.
Also, i know there are a few instances where a target is injured and you can't fulton him, but they're few and far between.
