Is there a faster and less grindy way to get resources? I'm like 40000 fuel short of a new base platform but the processing takes ages and running around the map extracting red containers would take even longer.

From mother base you can just press select and return to the helicopter

Really? Every time I go to select 'Return to ACC' from the pause menu it just says 'Restart Mission' for me.

At Lvl11, so I was walking around the medical platform and found a door I could open, lo and behold there's
Paz
Did I just find it by accident, did I miss something?
Cause I don't think they told me to got visit her

How the hell am I supposed to do mission 16 without d horse? That's dumb.

I don't get this mission. I hate time limits.

Just use D Horse then :P it was a tough mission, but managed to S RANK it. Just kept using missile launcher, requesting ammo drops in the center area and repeated til all were dead.

I hated that mission.

But, if you want to do it without the horse (or with) then just run to the intersection near the water and stay around that area. Drop decoys if you got them, and Fulton the vehicles out of there if you have that upgraded.

Or, start the mission over and use the horse and a rocket launcher.

The mission will fail if you don't get one vehicle, so you can just let the timer run out if you want then replay it when you have better gear.

Mission 12 spoilers:
How do I get into the lab where Emmerich is being held? All of the entrances require key cards or something.

I'm on mission 13, and the number and placements of enemies are just starting to get obnoxious. I don't have an hour to dedicate to tiptoeing around, only for it to go to shit in instant. There's a point it ceases to be fun. Is there a difficulty setting I missed in the options somewhere? I'm content to play things on easy.

In the Options menu, under Game Options (I think. Same menu as the Reflex Mode toggle), you can turn the Chicken Hat on.

It's the game's equivalent of an Easy mode. Enemies don't take you seriously because they're too busy laughing at your silly hat, so you can run around completely untroubled :P

40hours into the game, finished mission 29 and still no "Head Option", what's up with that ?

Andy why doesn't Big Boss use his scarf in sand storms, Kojima please.

Im at some point in story in Chapter
2
and have no idea what im supposed to do

I was leaving base and coming back to a bunch of cutscenes but those stopped now all i have are side missions and what seem like optional main missions

I bitched about it last night. It's the most frustrating mission so far in this game.

It's not as bad as Episode 16. Episode 16, as with almost every encounter with that particular enemy in the entire game, is absolute horseshit.

Mission 16 is the only mission in the game I'd recommend YouTube'ing the cheese method of doing it.

Episode 18's problem is just the mid-mission difficulty spike. That mission starts off as a great infiltration job and then just throws too many cheap elements at you in the second portion. Eventually I just lost my rag with it and
supply dropped a launcher and blew the chopper out of the sky
.

I also think the ranking for that mission is busted. The amount of people who say they fudged it but still got an S Rank is crazy. Certainly happened that way for me.

You have to mission grind to unlock the right to progress in the story!

Damn. It's so satisfying to be able to get rid of my ALWAYS NO KILL STEALTH nature with this game. Just did mission...9? I think? Where you
blow up the 2 tanks and commander(I extracted him)
. I just took a vehicle and went ham. What a fantastic little story that created. People got straight murked and I'm trying to drive through this sand storm accidentally running over people and ending up in a base in alert just driving through the front door like fuck it.

?
It's the caravan mission right? I didn't need d-horse or anything.
there is an intel file showing you the route they will take, and near the outpost there is a jeep guarded by three soldiers if you want to use that

There is always a file or a guard giving you useful info.

Maybe I got lucky with mission 18 but
when my chopper arrived, it just shot down the enemy's and no more showed up (maybe tied to whether you have been discovered?)
.

The route is huge though.

Yeah the Konami servers for me are fried too. I was only able to login once one day after launch, thankfully I imported my GZ save immediately.

So I've been missing out on all the daily bonuses (I tried logging in every day since launch). At least I haven't unlocked the FoB yet.

Try logging in around 3AM EST. Generally enough people are in bed by then that the servers stabilize a bit for you to get the previous day's login bonus.

I've heard that you can get an.... ummm.... unique cut-scene with
Quiet
if you do something right.

Anyone can tell me what exactly am I suppose to do without spoiling anything? My friend said
to take her with me and do lots of side missions without coming to base and then come back to base and see what happens.
I did it but nothing.

I don't know what actually the cut-scene is so I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to the right direction without spoiling anything. Thanks.

So I'm well into Africa now, but I'm still seeing soldiers that are primarily E, D, and the occasional C. If I'm outrageously lucky I'll get a B. My I droid is leveled up to the point that I can see A+. I'm outrageously understaffed because I don't want to grab anyone below C, but my friend is saying that he's seeing B's and A's all over the place. What gives?

command Quiet...etc from the map screen.

Wait, what. How the hell do you command Quiet from the map instead of the right tab on iDroid!?

Update your... forgetting the unit struts. The one unit (which is in the descriptions so please do READ them) that is upgraded will increase your changes of above A rank soldiers.

I started seeing lots of As and Bs when I finished work on some level 3 struts so maybe it scales with MB

Alright everyone, forget the story and gameplay and all that, here's the real question; Bowie's version of The Man Who Sold the World or the one used in-game (by Midge Ure)?

I think I like the one in the game more
