I was actually looking for this thread, I can now join the TGS excitement!!

Looking forward to the event this year, I have moderately high expectations from it, I hope it delivers :D

Of course, Expectation #1 is everyone's expectation: Persona 5.

Is Deep Down still a thing? Do people still care?

Always seemed like people were reaching for it due to it looking like a Demon's Souls spiritual successor for the hungry fans but then Bloodborne was officially announced.

I do care. If it's still a thing? Who knows? Seems like their Panta Rhei engine is a problem.

I can't remember if we've ever heard that there was a problem, but I'm also of a mind that that's the key issue. Does anybody know if they can cite something?

It's just so strange to see them struggle with this, considering MT Framework was really quite impressive with the way it scaled, and the way that Capcom was able to put out quite a few games in the last generation. Who led that engine, and are they still at Capcom?

It's possible Panta Rhei is having some trouble but I reckon the free to play model has been scrapped and Deep Down has turned into a traditional full priced game.

dreams have been shattered

People have themselves to blame by looking for hope in the wrong way. Itsuno won't suddenly reveal official TGS arrangements on Twitter. He gave a casual answer to a casual question: He can be found on the show floor for one day.

I only care for The Last Guardian to be at the show. I've been out of the loop for some time now, but It's about time Sony re-revealed it after confirming time and time again that it's not cancelled.

It's kinda sad that we can't write stuff like this in all earnest anymore. Feels like the end of an era. Maybe if we're lucky, The Last Guardian will go silent for another six years and we can do it all over again.

Or Gravity Rush 2 goes silent for a few years ;) You would probably like that right?

Well Spike Chunsoft will be there... What are the odds of them bringing any Zero Escape 3 screenshots or trailers? This isn't really a game you have a gameplay demo of, but seeing some footage would be cool after the awesome AX reveal.

Hearing nothing since the E3 demo has me a little anxious...but honestly I'll always be anxious about TLG until that fucking game goes gold.

Deep Down looks fun because it looks more methodical and pinpoint-y than Dragon's Dogma. Plus, it has randomly generated dungeons and coop. Can't hate on that. I've always said that if the gameplay is good enough and I don't feel like I have to spend money to win or feel completely outclassed, then I would just as if it was a normal title.

But we will see.

According to a previous interview, they are having troubles with the engine. MT was a godsend, but lightning like that rarely strikes twice. I hope they move to Unreal and deal with the new engine later, because they don't need their titles held up right now.

Are they the new Tenchu dudes?

They're most likely going to be there for danganronpa 3

Spike Chunsoft has more going on than that. Exist Archive is one of them.

Though...

As far as I know, Spike Chunsoft will not have a booth at TGS 2015.

Is there any chance of Zero Escape 3 ever coming to PS4? I loved 999 but can't bring myself to buy a new handheld device just for this one series.

What I really want to see

The Last Guardian

A new big ass Sony Japan JRPG

Dragon Quest XI info, gameplay, release window/date maybe

Devil May Cry

Some awesome surprises

Edit: Oh and I want to see more of Nier

Level-5 is attending TGS 2015 in the form of a booth at the Business Meeting Area of Makuhari Messe.

Haven't there also been developers known to make surprise appearances at a conference but not necessarily have their newly announced game be available at their booth?

I would also like to see if Sony Japan can pull off a big first-party jrpg since final fantasy franchise is no longer exclusive. Also nier

I think we're going to see Etrian Odyssey 5.

There are developers who would have their games shown at a conference without even having any show floor presence at all.
