I wonder how much of the tracklist we know thus far. If they have anything good left to reveal.
I'm guessing that the master tracks for Cowboys From Hell are borked, huh? This and GH Live both use live versions.

I assume so. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits also used a live version.
Would probably be a good guess. Same reason every music game uses the live Spirit of Radio and Sweet Home Alabama.
What's funny about the Spirit of Radio Live version is nobody knows where it comes from
Yep, figured. And yeah, I'm very glad that the version in RB4 is an amazing live version.Good thing the Monsters In Moscow version is bloody fantastic!

The main 30 songs are available from all retailers. They're almost all tracks by Harmonix bands that have previously appeared on-disc, as DLC, or as RBN tracks.
The four Amazon-exclusive tracks are:
Alabama Shakes Dont Wanna Fight
Breaking Benjamin Failure
Death from Above 1979 Trainwreck 1979
The Pretty Reckless Follow Me Down
Are they perpetually exclusive, and is it only for preorder?
I really want two of those songs but I don't know if I can afford the game at launch or not![]()
Pre-order bonus, but not permanent. All songs make their way to the store at some point.

And they appear to be exclusive to the instrument bundles, which is fucking annoying as shit.
For anyone who placed a MadCatz order for RB4 with the Labor Day code, do your email invoices reflect the 25% off? I decided to place an order for two Xbox One adapter bundles and my email shows the non-discounted price.
what makes you say that? Not doubting, just curious.Luckily for MadCatz, demand for Rock Band 4 appears to be higher than expected.

The Xbox One version of the band bundle selling out from Best Buy, although, to be fair, the GCU discount is certainly a factor.
Which is sad considering I had a nice collection of purchased songs on xbox 360 but there's no way I'm buy an Xbox one just for this. Nothing else interests me and I'm already a ps4 owner. It'll be really interesting to see the console split for this entry. Obviously PS4 has the bigger user base, but Xbone will inherit a ton of the hardcore RB fanbase who used 360 last gen (because it was the best choice for RB) as well as people who own a PS4 but would rather buy an Xbone for RB4 than re-buy DLC. This is also a huge reason why MS especially would never allow cross-platform DLC migration.
MadCatz said:SALE DETAILS
Subtotal of qualifying items must be $125 or more to receive the discount. Exclusions include FightSticks, Saitek and Pre-Order products. Products must be in stock. Offer valid from September 3-7 for U.S. orders.

That MadCatz discount code doesn't seem like it should work:
Have people actually been charged? That's the only way to be sure it works. Since the official rules say the discount will not be applied, it's easy enough for MadCatz to find the problem by the time the game ships and charge the full $250.It works for the band bundle but not the Guitar bundle. Not sure what the deal is there.

Fun fact: Guitar Hero Live doesn't use master tracks anyway. At least not for Guitar Hero TV songs.
Or you can use this huge PDF Harmonix made which gives you the prices on packs as well: http://www.rockband.com/content-assets/2012/09/RBDLCsaleGraphic.pdf although the 3 packs are basically the same price as buying all of the songs individually.Hrm, is there a list of which songs got discounted without having to go through the webstore page by page? lol
Man I never could find any of these boxes and I have looked at a lot of different local grocery stores around here (Crest, WalMart Neighborhood Market, Homeland).Specially marked boxes of Golden Crisp give you $10 off purchases $25 or more off the Microsoft store, including Xbox digital gift cards. So with the GC code, you can get a $25 gift card for $15 instead.
It does for LIVE songs, but not TV songs.
You what?
Is this wnat somebody has noticed during a demo because there hasn't been anything official said, I don't think.
Trying to find a source, but I remember reading it for sure, someone more into the GH side of things could probably find a direct link
It could be true but it just seems bizarre that they would license music videos and somehow not license master recordings of the songs.
The music videos are just for GH TV iirc, the GH Live side of things are those FMV "stage" videos
But you just said there are no masters for GHTV.
We know Live has masters for certain because all the demos have had master tracks, and if they have licensed music videos for GHTV, there really is no reason why they wouldn't be using the original recording.

Getting game and guitar for £50 so i'll grab RB4,
Wait, you can get that bundle for 50 quid?! Or is that the GH one?
Was a price glitch, spotted it on HUKD the other day although i'm shocked it actually got honoured
I asked Madcatz about release day shipping from their store for preorders, but they don't have the details yet. Still holding out for release day shipping since I live in California.
Those preorders aren't at risk of being canceled or charged the regular $250, right? $207.49 after tax is too good to pass up.
It definitely could be canceled or charged the regular $250, some people who already had their card charged it was charged for the full amount. It's really up to Madcatz, since they specifically said the Labor Day code wasn't good on preorders.

Harmonix confirmed that it will be going back up to $2 at some point. You may want to get your $1 songs and discounted packs ASAP.
