I think you're just kidding yourself if you think there's more content in there just waiting to be unlocked. I think the structure of Chapter 2 and the cut Mission 51 show the game was rushed out and never actually finished.

Of course the game is rushed. But I'm talking about files people find in the game that we haven't triggered/encountered yet. Like, I don't expect chapter 3 to come outta nowhere but I don't think it's that farfetched to expect a cutscene or some hidden costume(s) to still be found?

Yeah, that's definitely the Sneaking Suit from MGS3.

Okay, Kojima has always had a juvenile aspect to all his games when it comes to women, but Quiet is the first character in this series to make me roll my eyes with pure disgust.

She is literally being horribly tortured with shock rods at Mother Base, and the camera does all it can to focus on her breasts and crotch as much as possible. Same thing happens when life killing salt water is splashed onto her. I thought I was watching a snuff film during that scene.

She "dies" to a soviet soldier in mission 45, the soldier takes then her pants off and is prepared to rape her dead corpse. It's just an excuse to get Quiet into her panties. All so the camera can focus on her ass with slow mo shots every 10 seconds while she murders everyone. The transition from horrifying death/possible rape to sexy bad ass sequence in probably the worst tonal shift I've seen in an MGS game to date.

To top it all off, she's not even all that interesting as a character. She makes for an interesting plot/gameplay device, but I really didn't care when she had to leave Mother Base. She could have been so much more interesting, but we really didn't get anything with her.

I didn't finish Quiet's story because I want to finish the other missions first but wow. Fuck off Kojima. I was already through with him after the shower scene but seriously fuck Kojima.

Everytime I go to play this game, I do and then it's 1am the next thing I know and Quiet left ages ago.

I need help.

Me and you, brother.

-spend five years on a game
-still come out rushed and messy
-big critical acclaim mixed with fan backlash
-publisher shuts down dev studio

I still enjoyed the game alot, it's hard to beat the original Bioshock though. That one is GOAT in terms of a tight narrative and atmosphere.

So... why is Mantis even after Venom Snake? He's not Big Boss, so isn't all of this revenge that is powering Volgin entirely misplaced?

But BB was in the hospital in the beginning. That is who Mantis and Volgin were after. Later they were controlled by Skull face and Eli both of whom had lust for Venom.

Anyone else still have a yellow icon on the Battle Gear hangar, long after beating the game? Every time I go in there, there's nothing to do. Bug?

Ishmael was there in the hospital, so that encounter was justified. Venom isn't BB so he's a blank slate that could take over Mantis to summon the whale.

I think the Volgin encounters after it are commanded via Skull Face. And when he wants to get back at BB without any form of channeling he realizes he's chasing a dupe.

So after nothing MGSV related happens on peace day what's the next bullshit date people are going to choose and claim something might happen.

The delusion of certain fans is more interesting than the games story at this point.

i feel like they are the complete opposite. MGSV is incredibly fun to play with a shit story, Bioshock Infinite is not that fun to play with a great story.

The Community Manager almost explicitly said that the Nuclear Disarmament scenes are legitimately in the game. So there is something coming, at least.

How do I actually deploy Battle Gear on dispatch missions? Can't see an option.

Certain missions will have it for Combat Deployment.

Don't worry, you will know it when you see it. It took me like 20 hours after I got Battle Gear to actually send it on a Combat Deployment lmao

Yeah. You can think what you want of B:I's story, but I'm not seeing how it's rushed and messy either, at least compared to MGSV.

Okay, that does make sense when you consider stuff like BB and not Venom getting set on fire when Mantis & Volgin first burst in through the hospital lift, but maybe I'm reading into that too much.

Is the whale literally just there because of the names Ahab and Ishmael?

BioShock Infinite's story might not be rushed and messy like MGSV, but I'm not sure I would qualify it as great.

but that's just opinions. Easily one of my favorite stories in a game. Loved the feel of and world of Columbia plus the twist at the end. Gameplay didn't match up to what they initially promised but still good.

Yeah, Bioshock Infinite and MGSV are polar opposites of each other in that one nailed the gameplay, the other the story.

BI is the only game I've ever finished where I actually thought "Aw fuck, they actually want me to play the game again... *sigh* let's get through this".

I tell you guys I am so distraught at the loss of Quiet I now take D Walker out on every mission and just gatling gun everyone.

No mercy. All must feel my pain.
Words and deeds be damned.

It's not coming, it's in the game, you have to do something to unlock it.

Furthermore, a lot of the impressive setpiece gameplay shown in the E3 demo was cut (or not developed upon) simply because it was infeasible for the consoles. This meant that they struggled to fit something that did that demo any justice.

It's strange, because the strategy guide makes no mention of a "Nuclear Disarmament" ending.

That being said, maybe it was hidden because it ties into Mission 46?

It's not, it's clearly to do with the FOB stuff, which is why the credits rolled steam IDs into it.

It's not an ending as such, just something has to happen such as the speculation that you need to steal and dispose of 50 nukes (as the credits have space for 50 IDs), or everyone online has to no longer have a nuke (as the total number counts down to 0 of nukes in the world)
