They are really pushing the PS4 in Japan.
They are really pushing the PS4 in Japan.
PS4 is selling like hotcakes in the US. I don't foresee a price drop coming to US as well. This is just to push more units in Japan where it's struggling.
I actually didn't think a price cut in the West was coming, but maybe it actually is.
That or this will be a region only thing
It is a $50 (converted) price drop.
Japan is struggling with declining console and software sales. The rest of the regions still have PS4 easily outselling it's rivals and demand is still high, especially going into the holiday. Why would they do a price cut when they're winning like this?
This. Sony would be leaving money on the table by dropping the NA PS4 price.
That's $290 US dollars.
So, is it 50 or 100$ price-cut?
Feel like it will be a WW price cut since 1 October is when the new fiscal quarter starts and they have always done price drops pretty much at the same time for all major regions. Also all the new CH-1200 models should be on shelves which they stated has a reduced manufacturing cost.
Please gives a price drop Sony. $300 would be huge for PS4 in the west.
It was already cheaper because of currency value fluctuations. So, is it 50 or 100$ price-cut?
Depends what date you convert with. So, is it 50 or 100$ price-cut?
It's never been straight conversion. It's usually 100 yen to the dollar when talking about price. So it's going to be $50.So, is it 50 or 100$ price-cut?

In the west they will make announcements in time with the beginning of the peak season here which is November and December.
They have a conference on October 27th.
It's really 2+2
5000 yen price cut in Japan means 50$/ for us.

Why?Price drop confirmed. No way this is just gonna be Japan only.
I'll buy a PS4 soon if the price cut is global.
