I didn't even consider this angle. This would've been so cool to put some emphasis on rather than how it just feels like a happy coincidence.
Big Boss is an asshole
Kaz is an asshole
only cool guy is Ocelot
and then he gets fucked
Nothing cool about Ocelot in this game.
He's so boring.
Ocelot was complicit in a plan to ruin one guy's life so Big Boss could go do god knows what but somehow had to do with gathering all the world's nuclear weapons and then the main lesson he learned from all of this was "Yo what if I just destroy all of modern society."
I don't mind Mute Kiefer because it turns the character into an endearing simpleton. His perpetual slack-jawed confusion makes him a much more entertaining character then any of Kojima's exposition delivery automatons.so I guess we're all forgivin mute kiefer cause of the ending considering real BB doesnt shut up during the intro huh
I dont buy it
the only time he spun a revolver was in the MGO trailer
I guess you're right
Ocelot's boringness in this game just cemented him as some sort of tragic character that just wanted a friend and turned into the ultimate bad guy
I'm in the middle of the game and I already saw him spin it twice. Once when he schools the soldier with the MGS3 speech and in the Quiet scene where she shoots through the blades.
So people still butthurt about no David Hayter?
People just want the game they made up in their heads and not the one they got.
I think I'm liking MGSV more now. Its basically like MGS2 where eventually people will appreciate the game more once they are over the knee-jerk reaction phase.
I really wish people would stop trying to position people who disagree with them about an ending to a video game as just being petulant whiners that wanted fanservice scenes.
those are handguns
LOL no, chatty BB is the best thing ever, the translated Kaz tapes in GZ are a godsend.I don't mind Mute Kiefer because it turns the character into an endearing simpleton. It obviously is a half-assed performance and production, but if I can't have a Big Boss who won't shut up about wanting to eat every single thing he sees, Simple Snake might be the next best thing.
Meh, same thing. He still looks hella smooth while doing it![]()
I loved it. Fuck giving you answers or whatever. Kojima wanted me to be the Big Boss of his last MGS, as my favorite franchise that hit me hard and was WAY more powerful than what people wanted, "Hey guys you were right, it was Grey Fox all along" or "Hey now you play as Solid Snake and you kill Big Boss kthxbye."
Except it wasn't you. I mean the medic is a character still. Just a mostly mute one. I did'nt want for some super fan service blow out , just good answers. As it was, this game gave me neither of those. Just more questions.
MGSV had The Man Who Sold the World play during the intro, when Venom comes out of his coma, and Sins of the Father during the infamous Skull Face jeep ride (Also a hint of it during the phantom cigar montage)
Personally, I love Sins of the Father, but it was used at the most awkward moment and lost its impact. The Man Who Sold the World being used as a cover was a nice touch, and probably the best thematic use of a song in-game in the entire series, but I didn't care for the song itself very much. MGSV was missing a good credits song. The Phantom Pain would have been perfect.
Sins of the Father is an INCREDIBLE theme, and deserved a better moment than what it got.
I would rather have it play during the mission 45 fight than what we got.
He was a character, but it was pretty obvious that the ending monologue was supposed to break the fourth wall.
1 moreI guess every character in the series sucks
except solid and raiden
the only time he spun a revolver was in the MGO trailer
you guys don't like a super akward jeep ride with idling animations?
WooOOOoOHOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA
Of course. He wasn't a blank slate is all I meant. Also yeah Kaz was a jerk, but he was also the one trying to help those kids. Kaz was kinda good dude.
Kaz did a lot of angry things in this game
Anything involving Huey has him out to crucify the man
Cane slaps a kid and says he doesn't like kids
Angry speech to Ocelot during the ending
Basically every time he's on screen he's doing something angry. In codec calls he's doing his job as V's Colonel Campbell, and in some tapes he comes off as normal, but any time he shows up in person you can feel the rage
Kaz is a lunatic in the game and gets progressively more paranoid and crazy. That was a good thing, I thought. Though it must be stated that despite what he says he clearly like kids.
The Skullface car ride would have been better if he completes his monologue, Venom stares at him then he just throws him off the car and starts pounding the shit out of him (maybe also put in some support strikes at the same time to destroy surrounding vehicles). Then you just punch the fuck out of him using R2 until he's dead. With no words.
V is a certified badass. This cutscene is awesome, too bad it's so missableOcelot insisting that he be the one to pull the knife out of BB's chest after the fight club scene (that I bet most people probably never even saw in the game; I sure didn't), is basically the closest thing to a sex scene that we'll ever get for the greatest love story in the Metal Gear saga. "Be gentle" "Of course..."

How the fuck do you even get this cutscene?
I guess when morale is extremely low?

Maybe he was never there and Diamond Dogs were only hallucinating. Why has no one commented on how quickly Venom goes from the heliport to where the fight is happening. It's literally not possible that he got there that fast. Dude can teleport.
