Agreed, the last thing we need are more SFII characters in the base roster. Nothing against them as characters, but their constant appearance is starting to get boring beyond the essentials.

My first fighting game was MvC1 & my first Street Fighter game was SFIII, though I did play ST at a friend's house not too long after.

We got our core 4 from the SFII crew (Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, M. Bison), my personal favorite of the bunch (Cammy), & a character who I've always wanted to play but couldn't because I'm shit with charge characters (Vega). I think I'm good as far as World Warriors go.

I get that you're joking, but the fact that this character was teased on Twitter makes it a pretty safe assumption that it isn't him. I'd say that a teaser in a trailer signifies a recurring SFIV character, but Vega was never teased in a trailer.

What's there to like about him?
Both visually and gameplay wise, he's boring.
Boring design with a bunch of stolen moves.

i think he looks awful and his moveset is super boring - literally just a bunch of other people's moves crammed together in one character

i prefer Akuma for a low health / high damage character

I don't mind Hakan, but not everyone's a fan of him. Juri & Crimson Viper are probably the only two characters whose inclusions won't be met with some kind of skepticism (Crimson Viper gained most of her popularity thanks to the MvC3 games). That being said, I'm pretty sure both of them will end up as DLC.

Seth is pretty lame, he looks kinda weird (almost menacing, but falls short), and just seems like more of a nuisance than a threat (in gameplay and story). Not very appealing, not very fun to play, though at least mildly interesting to watch. He's disappointing, really.

This is prob. just me but I think others also speculated, at the time of SF4's release, that with Urien's fixation on humanoid weapons, he affected Seth and the other bodies that would've housed Dictator's soul, so that they have fighting style resembling his.

Seeing as Seth copies other characters moves, Urien introduced his into Seth among the other attacks he has into him.
