There's also an issue with Code Talker recovering the body of The End and The Pain.

In MGS3, it is stated that the Cobra Unit carry a bomb inside their bodies that basically vaporizes them. This was in order to prevent the enemy from keeping their bodies.

And you see this in-game. When they detonate, they vaporize. Nothing is left of them. That was the reason behind the bomb.

And now you tell me that The End just blew up into somewhat decent-sized pieces?

That's basically how it's explained in the tapes, they had some parts of the end that weren't "dead" despite being obliterated by the bomb.

so Kaz tellin BB that Eli isnt his clone and the DNA tests failed is just him in cahoots with Zero?

what a dick. why even bring it up

Kaz doesn't know.

"Stop staring at my tits please, I have a medical condition."

She says that with her knife. :P

New canon is that Snake killed The End on the dock, confirmed.

It isn't his clone because he's not BB.

It's actually pretty clever and I'm glad they included this.

Yeah, that part's fine. I liked it.

The problem is it comes in Chapter 2 after Eli has escaped with Sahelanthropus and there's no resolution to the Eli story and you find out about Venom pretty soon after.

Okay real talk: I'm no expert in biology, and I'm wondering, how likely is it for parasites to actually work this way? That they only infect the vocal chords of people who speak a specific language with specific sounds. I know they give an in-universe explanation, but of all of MGSV's plot points, this sounds like the dumbest to me.

But like I said, I'm no expert in biology.
Complete nonsense thanks to how much language changes in a relatively short amount of time.

But the parasites aren't supposed to be biologically accurate, they're basically magic. They're the new banana machines.

Japan still salty about not being able to break our World War II naval codes.
I'm not a linguist but skimming through the wiki article it does seem to be considerably more complex in terms of how many distinct sounds are used to create words and flexibility in sentence structure compared to English, but I don't know what that even means in terms of complexity relative to other languages. The choice to make it parasite proof might be inspired, but it could also be Kojima silliness.

Man the radio really sucks in this game, especially when you're not in a mission.
90% of the time Miller just says "You can use the iDroid to select a mission Boss!"

Then he at least has half good intentions by freeing the world from Zero/Patriots.

Yes, but this creates a worldwide Wild West, basically.

Yeah, I know. But MGS3 tells us that they vaporize. No limb, organ or anything is left. MGSV tells us that not only they didn't vaporize, but the explosion still left pieces of recognizable human parts. Recognizable enough to show they belonged to an old man...

Despite being blown up, the small parts that were left hadcells(or the parasites) that were still alive.

Parasites, Son!

The pieces
were not
necessarily
large.
I would say
they were
quite
adequately
destroyed.
But you see
parasites
are very
small,
and
they can
survive
even in
very small
pieces.

The voice direction for both Ocelot and Kaz are all over the place but who is supposed to be yelling out in the game over screen when you die?

Wow, more leaked cut content. The tape that Big Boss sends to Venom was supposed to be way longer, and definitively sets the scene as right before Venom fights Solid Snake.

By the way... You know Gray Fox is on my side right? He'll help if you just ask him and not just throw him into a cell to sit.

Also, I'm looking at these blueprints and the number of floors is a typo, right? It's just 10 floors and someone pressed the 0 key twice. Because otherwise, holy shit, you kinda got addicted to building stuff with that whole Mother Base thing.

And about the horn... take some sandpaper to that thing or Snake is gonna think something is up. Gonna ruin the whole thing.

You might wanna try fucking with him; lead him into rooms full of gas and traps and stuff. Just my suggestion, don't have to follow it. Ocelot said you were a bit slow, but he says that about everyone who isn't me, so no offense.

...

Okay, sorry, I had to sign for the shipment of Zanizbar hamsters and squeaky sand and fast growing owls. We got some crazy shit going on over here. Lemme see what you guys have got...

Wait, a bulldozer that's also a tank? Come the fuck on, he'll think I'm an idiot if he sees that. A- you have robots? Seriously? Okay that's cool.

Speaking of robots, you know that Metal Gears, like, do things right? Because I'm looking at this thing and I'm not very impressed. No antigravity, no rail gun, no artificial intelligence, no flame whips... it doesn't even have a laser dick, Venom. Venom. Come on. 11 years and this is the best Metal Gear you could get? It doesn't even work yet? Oh, and it's stored in the room with the laser cameras. Great. I'm not... I'm not angry, I understand how these things shake out, it's just I thought we'd be further than this. Maybe you should have kept Huey around in a locked room or something.

Anyway, I gotta go. If Dirty Duck and Machine Gun Kid aren't dead yet, give em a shout for me.

"You" truly,
Big Boss <3

Two massively hyped games that end a series both have shitty plot.

Batman everybody called the twist in first trailer

MGSV everybody called the twist in first trailer

(It also obvious after first hour of game if you ever decided not to watch any trailers)

It wasn't parasite proof.

Skull Face never made a killer strain for the Navajo language because no one but the small remaining Navajo people (and a few random people in the world like Quiet) had it.

It wasn't worth it.
It's like wondering why the parasites didn't work on Klingon. Skull Face didn't give a shit about Klingon to stick a headphone in someones throat to perfect it.

I love that Ocelot hypnotised the medic to become Big Boss then hypnotised himself to forget about the real Big Boss.

There is potential for a lot of retcons in future Metal Gears by utilising Ocelot's hypnowizardry.

... gimme a god damn break

I thought that idea wasn't too bad. V.Snake actually does become temporarily colour blind whenever you're close to death and you heal yourself, it even happens in the hospital section when you have to fix your leg. I thought my game was broken. I think green and red disappear.

why do some early missions have [replay] next to them? It's like the [extreme] or [total stealth] modifiers but it's the original missions and they say [replay] next to them.

Eli's grudge against BB didn't make sense in this game considering how caring BB is.

What the fuck else do you want from him?
More scenes of them actually interacting would have helped. There was the one weird bit where Ocelot outright tells Snake that Liquid wants to talk to him, and then you, just, don't

Which is another one of those weird things that happened with how they tied some events unlocking to you playing through missions. I got word that the soldiers were rioting against Huey, but then had to do a bunch of missions to get the cutscene where they actually hold his "trial" to trigger.

For all the good things about the game's handling of the open world elements, there's also a lot of parts like that where it weirdly falters.

What about hypnotizing Skull Face and Zero to forget Big Boss even exists?

BOOM. Problem solved.

This would have been ok if the shrapnel actually affected gameplay at some other point, but it doesn't except for maybe the Paz stuff. I rolled my eyes at this and Venom yelling "Nooooo!" Before checking Eli's pulse.

It actually affects him in the Hospital after the Volgin Helicopter explosion by the windows. All the colors get washed out a bit once they escape from Volgin after shooting the sprinkler.

They're the missions where you recruit people don't have in your crew anymore like Huey, Eli, and Quiet. I don't know why they make a note of that though, it's not like you can get multiple Hueys like you can with the Bionic Arm specialist.

Yeah is the blood on his face meant to turn blue? it was very odd

Can't distinguish Kaz or Ocelot over radio.

This drove me nuts as well, but then you can determine most of it via context. Overly thorough and almost condescending advice=Ocelot, Pointless grumbling or yelling while simultaneously urging you to do something completely fucktarded=Kaz. Seriously what was going on with the VA direction in this game, Ocelot goes from being a hot-blooded Russian upstart to Texas Troy Baker as "Clippy Ocelot".

so if I do the quiet one for example can I get quiet back? I don't understand.

The fact that Quiet apparently can only speak English and Navajo of all languages is so convoluted.

Their narratives and pacing were also both weaker than the original entry due to the series going open world.

And Joel from the Last of Us.
Now that I think about it there were three voices coming out of Ocelot throughout the game.

All of this is because the game was unfinished. The fact it's even somewhat coherent as it is is frankly a goddamn miracle.

Well *places boot on crate* it all started, pardners, when our old friend Skull Face was hankering for some dirty deeds. Y'see, it was Zee-row who stopped him, and it was Zee-row who would... pay tha price. *snaps imaginary suspenders*

he sounds like a country lawyer telling a story to the jury

What if Ocelot hypnotized Liquid to forget about his time at Mother Base and make him believe Big Boss was a meanie to him as a kid?

What if Ocelot hypnotized himself to fall out of love with Big Boss because he knew it was forbidden?

What if Ocelot hypnotized Zero and Big Boss into thinking the other guy was a dick so they would eventually fight and kill each other because they were responsible for killing his mommy?

What if Ocelot hypnotized the Patriot AI into creating context and stuff because he wanted to be the one who destroyed them and look like a good guy because he secretly loves Solid Snake and wanted him to notice him.

There's a lot of potential in Metal Gear Solid 6.
