Woo, my friend got in.
Why wouldn't the opening song be Panama?
I just checked and got my email too... and I got in! Guess the wait all day today has been really worth it.
Hoooly crap guys, this is the greatest day of all time. Finally my life long dream since 2007 has been realized
Grats guys. I should've entered.![]()
What is that? And what do you have to do for it?
Wait, you can still export from RB2? Any other games still have working export? (PS3 only)
You would have to contact EA Support to try and get a working export code, but if you get a code, yes, you can still export.
Rock Band 1 also still exports, no code necessary, and Rock Band Blitz's export still works, but that's about it.
Is Blitz worth doing? Never purchased it, so I am not sure if I can be bothered if the tracklisting is average.

So, what do you guys reckon will be the intro cinematic music? My moneys on either "Toys In The Attic" (Cause hurr durr, getting the plastic controllers out the attic right guys?) or "Violent Shiver", feels like it'd fit any of HMX's previous RB intros.
not sure, launch trailer song will be fallout boy centuries though, I've been calling that since rock band 4 was announced lol.
I asked for a replacement code through the support chat. Got it within 5 minutes.Out of curiosity, what route did you go to get the RB2 replacement code from EA? I've been trying to get one with no luck, and I've seen others in this thread say the same. Do we have to just get lucky in EA support chat or did you call a support number?
Sorry if this has been answered a few times but do you need the unique export codes from the previous physical disc games to be able to import these songs into Rock Band 4? I don't know if I even have the codes anymore.
I do have Rock Band 3 digitally but got Rock Band 1 and 2 on disc. Is there no option for Rock Band 3 songs to be imported into Rock Band 4?
Thanks!
I redeemed my unused export code from my RB2 manual into RB3 on 360 a week ago and it worked...I'm having no luck with EA support chat after 4 visits in getting an RB2 code.
Theoretically, if I found a sealed copy of RB2 or an unused code it will still work, right? Or were the EA codes special in some way?
I think exporting on 360 for RB2 is easier than on PS3.I redeemed my unused export code from my RB2 manual into RB3 on 360 a week ago and it worked...

Looked around and couldn't find any help for my problem: I really want to use my Guitar Hero guitars but both have the same problem. One's a Warriors Of Rock, the other a GH5 guitar. Both have this issue where the guide/power button will randomly use itself. So while playing the guide will pop up and freeze everything or when the 360 is off the guitar will turn it back on. I'm going to try over the weekend to fix it but if not I guess I'll resort to some $50 (used!) ones on Amazon.
What console and where are you from?
Before, you had to go through Harmonix's website to get a export code, if you're on the 360 in europe, you should be fine however.
With just over 2 weeks before release, the lack of ION support news is bothersome![]()
Im sure it will be after the holidays.Wonder if the adaptor will be a standalone purchases on Amazon UK? Only 3 packages available at the moment are...
"Game + Legacy Adapter"
"Game + Guitar"
"Game + Band In A Box"
Kind of want both the guitar AND the legacy adapter.

Seriously, everyone putting the lack of ION support completely on Harmonix is getting old. With everything Harmonix has already done for their community and how much of backlash of people constantly asking about ION support, do you honestly think they just aren't doing it just because? I'm sure it required A LOT of cooperation between Harmonix and MS/Sony to get all of the other TONS of wireless instruments to work. Maybe ION is just not interested in working with Harmonix so Harmonix can't get the help they need to make it happen. Because like I said, I'm pretty sure if they could make it work, they would/will. Have we heard anything at all from ION about all this?Bug Ion, maybe they'll release ps4 and xbox one drum modules, that'd be pretty neat.
Odd question, but did Harmonix mention whether the PS4 drum would be compatible with PS3? In the event there is no RB3 export, I'd like to boot that up from time to time.
I'm still rocking the RB1 drums, I'd like to get new ones, hoping either MadCatz might eventually sell it separately (in limited quantities) or there's a decent resell market for it. Since I'm quite happy with my RB2 guitar, I'm not feeling the need to upgrade that one.
You can. The adaptor just isn't up for sale yet by itself but it will be. If you take a look back a page or two, it was up on Amazon early for a bit.Im sure it will be after the holidays.
Im really annoyed i cant buy the game digitally and the adapter standalone in the us. Gonna have to go through the hassle of selling the physical copy
So many people are feeling entitled. They don't even bat an eye over the fact that your old songs and wireless instruments can somehow work on a WHOLE DIFFERENT GEN of consoles for free (barring the XB1 adapter). This is like black magic to me and to top it off, every single pre-Rock Band 3 song will get harmonies added.Seriously, everyone putting the lack of ION support completely on Harmonix is getting old. I still want to see footage of this. Why is it that none of the trailers/gameplay contained harmony vocals?and to top it off, every single pre-Rock Band 3 song will get harmonies added.
Would I sound entitled if were to ask when we'd find out more information about this? The game's just a couple weeks away, and I have no idea how much of my library I'll be able to play at launch. Will 50 exported songs/legacy DLC be carried over? 100? 250? 500? 1,000? Everything? Maybe zero, with the first legacy content coming a little further down the road? If the songs come very piecemeal, what will the rollout schedule look like?So many people are feeling entitled. The number of songs available as DLC at launch is to be determined and may be subject to change. Previously purchased DLC will be available for re-download and use in Rock Band 4 only after the DLC is released on next-generation consoles.

I've preordered a full band bundle and am in no matter what, but a huge reason I've bought in is to play existing DLC. I know Harmonix has said:
...but we're a hair over two weeks from release, and that seems like a very fundamental question to leave unanswered. Can we get a ballpark estimate, at least?
They're saying that no news is good news.
