If this is the same waterfall where Nash died, then it's location is in Brazil.
Not sure how accurate SF Wiki is.
"In his endings in the first two Alpha games, Charlie is killed by Bison and his men. He is first struck by Bison from behind in the first game, and in the second game he is shot in the back by his own men and thrown down a waterfall in Venezuela, however, Guile's ending in the American version of Street Fighter II adds the location of Charlie's death as Cambodia."

So...who knows

Charlie's ending sees him eventually tracking Bison down to Brazil and confronting him near a waterfall. After the battle, Charlie interrogates Bison. Before he can get a response, he is shot from the back by his intended backup helicopter and falls from the waterfall. Bison does not see Nash as a threat and does not bother to confirm whether he died. These endings, however, can hardly be considered canon since Charlie reappears very much alive later, in Street Fighter Alpha 3.

Who to believe?

Then there is this,

New stage just revealed for Street Fighter V - the Forgotten Waterfall! Taking inspiration directly from New Zealand

https://twitter.com/Capcom_UK/status/618434514331791360/photo/1

Inspired as in there is a waterfall in New Zealand that looks like this, or is forgotten waterfall's location is in NZ in the SF universe? And if that is the case, what is an Aztec warrior doing there?

'Inspired by' is completely different to 'located in'. Just because the Forgotten Waterfall is inspired by New Zealand doesn't mean it's located there. I never understood why so many people couldn't understand this.

Capcom canon is pretty fucked/inconsistent (and the language they use clearly doesn't help). They'll probably be establishing/clarifying/retconning some stuff in SFV but my expectations will remain low until we actually hear about it, and I would really like to hear about it.

This. People in this thread putting more thought nito SF games canon than anyone at Capcom ever did.

whoa, that list...it's terribad '-) Different taste I guess.

I 'm hoping Capcom does stick to it's guns though and have a more diverse cast where everyone feels unique.

Abel is just the worse design I've ever seen though?! So boring to me.
Thanks for the totally necessary disparaging comments.

Why not just list your own picks instead of tearing down what someone else likes?

Yes please.

It's going to be a bit of a let down when Alex does show up, and he doesn't sound like his 3rd strike self.

I really hope they're back. Alex's voice actor is still doing his thing. He does plays up in Toronto. I think the Urien voice actor is in Toronto too. So, I think Capcom could easily get them back and they wouldn't ask for very much. I would hope so anyway. I assume that they didn't get the English voice actor for Alex back for TVC because TVC was meant to be a Japanese exclusive title and it was released in America as a last minute kind of thing.

What's up with Toronoto and SF3? Isn't the rapper Infinite from Canada also?

I don't think Capcom is going to be seeking out any old voice actors for these characters, though I do hope Capcom goes for a youthful sounding voice for Alex again. It eminds you that he's still just a young guy despite his appearance. (Particularly if this takes place pre-SFIII.)

Are we expecting the starting roster to be 11 males and 5 females? That's going off urien, alex, and the last two newcomers being all that's left. Can't recall the last two newcomers. But it seems only one might be female. Though I guess there's a possibility both might be.

Zen could be a female, but I think we'll be getting another guy.

Not really a balance obviously, but still the highest female to male ration of a starting SF roster, so they are moving forward in that respect.

Yeah that was the main thing I was getting at which is nice to see.
