Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

I wish we had more characters to work with for the name thing.

I wanted to put my Mom's full name which doesn't fit. My original idea was to put KML Oct. 1949~ Jul. 2015 RIP, which might be asking for too much, but not even her full name fits because of the 18 character limit.

I bought Bloodstained in the hopes to play it with my Mom. She had a perfect save in SOTN at 200.6% and every single item in the game and all of enemies defeated and entered in the bestiary. It was one of her favorite games.

But yeah she passed in July of this year so, now this game is just going to be one big reminder of plans to play it together, so being able to having her name in the credits instead of my own is the least I can do.

I guess I'll just suffice and shorten her name somehow even though it's not what I want to do.

I’m REALLY sorry about that!! I replied to the PM you sent me, and I’ll see what I can do to help get you taken care of.

I hope this works out in your favor, Omega. My condolences.

If this thing with Omega and his mom (my condolences btw) works out, it just shows how awesome Fangamer is. :D

Agreed. Shenmue 3 may have raised more money but compared to Bloodstained, it's not even close when it comes to how the KS was handled. Fangamer has actually been almost completely on point with every aspect of the campaign so far.

Is there any backer perks for those who are only in the 28 tier?

Can we still pitch in to the Paypal?

Yep, you’ll also get the Prequel Mini-Game! You’ll be able to upgrade your tier through your survey if you’d like, and you can still back the project through our system even if you missed the Kickstarter. I’m not sure if it would break a NeoGAF rule by linking it, so you could just email orders@fangamer.com if you have any questions about it.

I wonder what the chances are of us getting our hands on that delicious WiiU version of Unreal 4....

You will have to talk to Armature about that and only until after the Wii U version of Bloodstained releases.

http://www.armature.com/2015/06/12/bloodstained-ue4-code-clarification/

Since Bloodstained is likely releasing in 2017. If the NX is possibly out by then, I find it appeal of using UE4 to develop a Wii U title that during that time strange. Also it's likely by the time Bloodstained releases the current version of UE4 they decide to use for development may be out of date by the time the game comes out.

If the NX does come out before than. I wonder how many people would be willing to develop on the Wii U at the time using UE4, when the off-chance that future Nintendo console will possibly support it natively with proper support from Epic.

Still no email, or any emails since the kickstarter ended and I'm a PayPal backer, so I assume I need to contact fan gamer tomorrow if nothing arrives today?

Wish I could just leave the name in credits spot blank. Kickstarter game credits are long enough because of all that stuff and I never put my name in anyway.

Well I mean... you leaving your spot blank would likely have zero effect on the length of the credits since you wouldn't have a line to yourself.

I'm kinda wondering the same thing, I see that there are still physical backer copies available http://www.fangamer.com/a/kindling/bloodstained

but will this also be released at retail for those who don't reserve a physical copy with kickstarter?

I'm assuming it will, but if you're sure you'll buy it, you should back it. I wouldn't want to miss on the Iga boss and the Swordwhip :C

Kinda disappointed they're kickstarter exclusive, tbh.

nah this is fine.

Oh okay! You can still back the Bloodstained project at igavania.com/back

Please keep in mind that you won't be able to post comments on the Kickstarter page or receive backer update emails, and it will not show up as a backed project in your Kickstarter profile (Kickstarter will only allow this for pledges made directly through Kickstarter itself). However you can still manually check the updates section from time to time, as we have intentionally not (and will not) post any backer-only updates.

got my survey about 9 hours ago

I wonder if the PS4/Vita version will be cross buy?

Honestly, as long as the cross-save carries the backer exclusive content, I don't mind if it doesn't. Unless the final game is expensive at release. Glad it seems anyone can still upgrade, though maybe it will "finalize" our "tiers" sooner rather than later. The confirmation email made it seem like we could add on to the final pledge later, not necessarily ending it this week.

Chose Clan Bullwhip since I thought I might as well represent Team Whip. I think back when that was going on though I mainly voted had Team Sword, with Team Whip on some other computer? I don't know it's been a while, but I remember being somewhat dissapointed Team Sword's Katana Clan won since we got another Crissaegrim super weapon instead of a super whip or something. I think I may have been of Clan Katana, or maybe Broadsword...

Anyways, upgraded to art book tier, hopefully they confirm if PS4/PS3/Vita is cross save with the extra content and then I won't be worried about getting that extra content on a later Vita copy to buy at release. Ultimately having the physical copy of the Vita version would be cool because of its obvious rareness, but I'm not to worked up about getting it that way, after all I don't think a Vita physical release has ever been sold for more than $50 unless it was a special edition or something, so paying $60 up front for it instead of just getting a digital copy, especially because the PS4 one I'm getting is physical, isn't a problem with me.

If I order an additional add-on copy, will I still get the Backer Exclusive content for that additional copy?

Yes, but ONLY if the add-on also qualifies for the exclusive content. For example if you add-on a $28 tier, it will not include the bonus content (whereas if you add-on a $60+ tier, it will). Add-on tiers do not inherit anything from your previous tier, and they will only include what they specifically list (including any applicable shipping fees).

I wonder if the PS4/Vita version will be cross buy?

Unfortunately I currently don’t have any information available about that.

For reference, here’s what Armature HAS said in regards to their Vita plans (from this update):

Once again, the Bloodstained backers have not failed us. We have hit the PS Vita stretch goal! Here are our thoughts on inclusions into the PS Vita version:

• Music Export – We thought it would be awesome to be able to export the game’s music to the Vita’s music library. So we’re going to do that.

• PS4 Cross Save Support – Obviously, we’ll need to work with the PS4 dev team on this, but we’ve done cross save before and we’d love to do it again.

• Touch Screen Support – Remember how we mentioned drawing on the map on the WiiU version? Why not do that for Vita too? And scrub around the map with your finger as well.

• PlayStation TV - We’ll also make sure that the game is fully playable on the PS TV.

We are truly honored to be part of this project, and to work with the other development teams to help bring another one of Igarashi-san’s masterpieces to a handheld.

Glad it seems anyone can still upgrade, though maybe it will "finalize" our "tiers" sooner rather than later. The confirmation email made it seem like we could add on to the final pledge later, not necessarily ending it this week.

We currently don’t have a specific time-frame for when the tiers must be finalized, but it probably won’t be for a while (probably at least not until the end of the year). In the meantime, you’ll be able to upgrade your tier, add on additional tiers, and/or change your selected platforms whenever you’d like.

Okay finally emailed fangamer and got my survey. I've decided to just get the Wii U physical version and maybe in the future I'll upgrade to the $100 or $125 tier.

Please send an email to orders@fangamer.com if you have not received your survey. If your survey is missing, here's a short list of common reasons why:

• It may be stuck in your spam filter.

• Having an incorrect, deactivated, or disabled email address associated with your Kickstarter/PayPal account.

• If the email account associated with your Kickstarter/PayPal account is different than the email account you're expecting to receive the email in (e.g. your KS/PP account is registered under me@hotmail.com, but you're only looking at your me@gmail.com account)

• Your payment failed and your order was never successfully placed.

• You may have accidentally skipped over it in your inbox, or didn't recognize the email as your survey.

• Our servers goofed something up and didn't send you an email.

You can also do a quick search for "orders@fangamer.com" in your email account to see if anything shows up.

Just a suggestion, maybe make future surveys look less like phishing emails :) I wasn't sure about mine but I did it anyways, and a friend of mine didn't even recognize the name "fangamer" so *really* thought it was a phishing email until I told him it was real. I'd bet other people threw their copies of the email away. Especially when giving out a survey for things that aren't shipping for two years...

Does anyone happen to know how long we have to fill out the survey? I was kind of thinking I'd upgrade to the $300 tier, but I'm not entirely sure yet. In-decisiveness is such an evil thing. :/

Anyone else at the $750 credits tier? I noticed there was no place for a credits message in the survey, just our name.

Am I missing something or does that happen later?

As a side note upgraded to buy a Vita copy in addition to PC/PS4. I am going all in on this >_<
