Hey el fuete guys!! Jump off a bridge godoogit!! Who wants that annoying play style back? You guys want to annoy people?!! Sheesh...

This game still isn't coming out for a long time though...really kinda sad coming in here

Its not about if you liked it, the point is usf4 is pretty well balanced, so many characters are viable. The system changes also helped with that.

How is it not about if I liked it, if I found no enjoyment playing the game? KOFXIII has a plethora of viable characters and I liked it more than USFIV. It's like what BadWolf said, to each their own.

I can acknowledge that there are a huge number of viable characters in USFIV (Which can also be attributed to various factors as well such as the playerbase and roster.), but I feel like it was possible without making a game like USFIV. It's not for me, but I ain't bout to damn it off the face of the Earth.

Not publicly anyway.

Yea but last evo had some really ugly and beautiful stuff. Momochi Ken, amazing gief play, etc...then you had stuff like Elena healing every two seconds, everyone counter picking etc...meh its a "messy" balance for lack of a better word. And too many characters don't even benefit from universal mechanics like Focus attack, so they had to start nerfing damage and normals and combos on the good cast. I'm ready to move on.

Both of you will be beneath me. Never underestimate my ability to grind games that I'm hyped for (tournaments included).
like it matters how long you play...gotta play top players to really be a great one.

I'm online warrior to the max though. Putting Ken on the map.

I'm still holding out hope for Rufus. There's plenty of blondes for him to mistake for Ken Masters now.

Rufus can stay away from SF forever.

Idk, I've competed in a lot of tournaments, made it out of pools at evo, won some minor tournaments, gone to weeklies on a regular basis, put in usually 3 hours a day on average with sf4, etc etc ever since sf4 hit local arcades in 08. I'm naturally awful at fighting games so I make up for it with hard work.

I'm kind of the same way. I don't have natural skill or beginner's luck. So like you, I make up for it with constant training & hard work

So what you're saying is that you're a genius of hard work.

A reference that you won't get, but just know, it's from an anime.

Because you love that shit.

Look, everybody, vulva loves anime!

Oh, and I'll be playing a lot.

I misread and thought we were stricly talking balance. But yeah, to each their own. KoF13 was great in this aspect as well.

Rufus will probably be back sooner rather than later. He's one of the most popular and iconic SF4 characters. He's the unofficial mascot of vanilla SF4's competitive scene. Maybe we'll get a "terrors of SF4" pack with him and Sagat.

What if future Rufus went on a diet shaved his head and mustache and got in shape? Then what !!????????!???
As long as his voice is the same

for the first time in my long history of playing SF, i won't really have a bunch of friends close by / living with me to play

luckily this game seems to be focusing on online play... really looking forward to playing with everyone

Or hold off and wait 6 years until they make SF5 because SF4 didn't click with you!

Yes, I do recommend that one avoids playing games they don't like and sticking with the ones they do.

If this is a jab at me since I am happy this doesn't play like SF4, that doesn't mean that I want to change what SF4 is. I am just happy that SF5, as every single mainline entry in SF before it, is different from the previous entry.

And I have played a ton of SF4. :) Almost got out of pools last EVO.

The Elena thing is beautiful though. Timing the healing and using it to bait people into doing stupid shit, so making it into sort of a guessing game but making it a huge risk if he fucked it up is the kind of shit I like to see in SF. He used the tools of character in a non-cheap light but in such an inventive way.

You're being sarcastic.......right?

for a lot of folks, they need a character with a playstyle they mesh with to enjoy an FG

Yep, I enjoyed Vega immensely in SFIV despite his glaring flaws because the playstyle just suits me. Bison is my boy in SFV at the moment because of that, I had a blast in the beta. Please make Inferno positive on block, please >_<

It's all good homie! >:D

Trust me, everyone who didn't like SFIV felt offended from reading that. lol

Especially me.

Recently started playing alpha 3 on fightcade and really am feeling Sodom. Adding him to my list of characters I would love to have back

I suck pretty bad at street fighter but love the franchise even though I haven't played all of them. Ryu has always been my favorite fighting character. I hope I can get decent at V
Also I can't get fight arcade to work Norton blocks it

That's if you are only talking about the US. Japan had plenty of diversity at that time. Still remember Acqua/Chun, Shiro/Abel, Mago/Sagat, Momochi/Akuma, Ryu/Daigo, etc.

Your examples of iconic seem really off btw. or I just suck at detecting your sarcasm. You'd be a lot closer to being correct if you talk about Skullomania, Dan or Sakura(iconic outfit) in that regard.

I think people should stop paying attention to Beelzebufo

I blame SF IV.

Nah, I don't know the Guile/Ibuki matchup, and Hamad legit just destroyed me. He was awesome. I him on stream later beating some really good players. Vortex, of course, didn't help, but I kept being put into the situation. /shrug

I'm happy with how I performed. I struggled with SF4 for years and finally just gave up and went back to basics with Guile and Ryu and I played better this year than any year prior. Had a gauntlet of 4 or 5 matches back to back that were all really good before I lost.
