I'm in the same boat bro.
Over 600 songs, already have drums, like 3 guitars + both pro guitars, and 3 mics.
And yet... I can't help but buy the new band in a box bundle.

Instruments wear down and there's nothing like a brand new set (My guitar and drums are from RB2)

It also helps that I did my preorder at BB for in store pick up so I saved like 50 bucks.
And I'm buying the Legacy adapter at Amazon since its so cheap.

TL;DR
RB4 is my big game for the year and I'm going all out.

I am still holding on to hope that my IONs will be compatible. I would have a hard time going back to the stock kit.

But I think I am going with the Physical Game + Guitar Bundle and buying the Adapter.I can always buy the game digitally later when it goes on sale.

Any word on American and UK prices for DLC songs in the store? Would be interesting to see if the price has gone up or down, seeing as they've both added new features, and taken away features from previous games.

So glad I don't have to mess with an adapter on PS4.

Yeah I would rather own everything on PS4 but I have too much invested on xbox 360 with DLC and instruments so I had to go Xbone. Also the adapter for $10 isn't as hard to swallow. I may eventually pick up a second guitar so I don't have to use the adapter (Except for when they add Keys back in ).

So based on that one trailer for RB4 have they pretty much added all the artists/songs they were hinting at throughout the trailer? I know Earth, Wind & Fire was another one that was being heavily hinted at and now September was finally announced as a song in the XBone digital pre-order bonus. Any others they haven't announced as songs in RB4 yet that will maybe be DLC?

RB4 is the #1 reason I stuck with MS this gen. I'm pretty grateful that Harmonix/Amazon have extended an olive branch regarding the additional cost of entry on the XB1 via the adapter discount and overall stronger digital exclusives.

Well we'd have to download all the DLC for RB4 anyway right? It could be that it'll check our download library and if it detects the original version or the RB3 version, they'll just grant access to a free download of the RB4 version.

Yeah, true. I just don't want the old DLC to go up in price while I'm waiting since there a re a few Queen songs I wanted but hadn't gotten before due to lack of harmonies (Under Pressure RB1, for example).

They did bother to ship separate pro upgrades for both versions of the Queen songs when pro guitar was a thing.

I didn't realize the tracks were so different...
This makes me want to buy the RB3 versions just to remove the keys from the guitar.
Not that it bothers me playing them... but it just feels wrong.
