Could the Atlus (NA) and Bamco (EU) publishing deal for Demon Souls hinder SCE somehow to release a DeS Remaster in NA and EU?

If the remaster is being done by someone other than From Software I don't think it would be an issue. Sony would likely be the one to publish it globally if it happens.

Would him joining SCE take away from him having games on multiple platforms? if so I don't see why he would want to give up on making so much potential money across multiple platforms.

He is making like 80% of his money out of Playstation platforms anyway, it's not like being exclusive for Sony would be such a huge change for him, will be pretty natural and most of his audience will remain the same.

Signed up on the google docs page. The layout is weird so I'll post it here too. If anyone (up to two people) need a ride from the Sacramento area or between Sacramento and the bay area, shoot me a message(In terms of safety I've never had a ticket nor a major accident. Had my first accident after Comic-Con this year when someones luggage fell off their car).

There is a catch however, instead of driving to the city I'll be going to Heyward and taking BART from there. I'll be staying the night in Heyward for the event and there is a good chance that the people coming with me can have a free place to stay in Heyward with my friend and I as long as you're respectful even though we'll be at the house for a minimal amount of time.

Helping with gas is appreciated but not required. So if this interests anyone, just let me know.

I just filled out the form, so I hope it's not too late.
Absolutely not. We are 2 months out from any concrete plans and at about 35 people, not including whichever friends some of us are bringing. Considering picking up a 360° camera to live-stream our adventure during and outside of the event, and the potential of coordinating a dinner at a local place where we can reserve a LOT of seats :P

For anyone else interested in signing up (1) or if you'd like to see the list (2) of GAF planning to meet up, quote this post for the hidden links!

Other versions sold quite well.

Either way I honestly don't see Kojima joining MS or Sony. Remember that an investment in Kojima is not something that will manifest itself for the next 5 years most likely. And I don't think he is the kind of guy that would want to play second fiddle. He would want his own studio with his handpicked team.

I wish I lived someplace else. There are a lot of nice places I wish I could live in, and they periodically rotate in preference.

This is one of the times were "Southwestern US" takes the #1 spot and runs with it.

I remember the hype for the previous PSX, and it was ungodly. Everyone was psyched to fuck that TLG would be announced.....and it wasn't.

Can we get the hype train going for this year? LETS GO TLG!

Have they not announced anything else regarding the event? Like the panels for instance.

They also didn't post a video like this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0rt83T2X44

Maybe they want to wait until after Paris Games Week.

Yeah, Sony seems to be leaning hard into PGW and since it's a full month before PSX that seems like plenty of time to hold off on specific PSX promotion until after PGW wraps up. Paris also ought to be a good indicator on what some of the Sony-specific floor showings we might see at PSX. I'm especially interested in hearing what Morpheus games/demos will be available to play.

Well, hopefully by early or mid November they have everything listed out.
Would've been nice to have it early to schedule flights but oh well.
PSX wasn't even announced as early as it was this year. I am hoping for a Bloodborne panel and maybe.... just maybe.... Horizon is playable.
just getting to be there trying the new stuff will be awesome, and whatever surprise they seem to have for us by asking for our psn id.

Trying out a demo or slice of an unreleased game is always fun, but I am 100% going because of two things: the spectacle of the main event on Saturday night, and getting hands-on time with Morpheus. It's going to be a blast.

I completely agree. I am curious as to why they wanted our PSN ID. If its like last year it is going to be a ton of fun.

I imagine they'll send everyone who registered with their PSN ID a voucher (via PSN message) for some kind of digital swag, be it an exclusive theme or timed-exclusive access to some kind of closed beta, etc... And maybe randomly select a couple PSN ID's for some larger prize?

Anyone have a list of what was announced at last year's psx?

Kind of a wordy breakdown, but IGN has one [LINK].

Basically:

- Gameplay trailer for UC4
- Chalice dungeon gameplay [Bloodborne]
- Killstrain
- EA giving away free games
- USFIV coming to PS4
- SFV to PS4
- Drawn to Death
- Yakuza 5 coming to the West
- FFVII trolling
- Fat Princess Adventures
- Day of the Tentacle: Special Edition
- Enter the Gungeon
- Broken Age (both parts)
- Gang Beasts
- Bastion
- Wattam
- Darkest Dungeon
- What Remains of Edith Finch
- Super Time Force Ultra
- The Forest

probably missing a few :\

It would be really great if they moved the PSX around to different countries every year. There are PlayStation fans outside of America. In fact, the rest of the world appreciates the majesty of PlayStation more than that place.

But where are the majority of sales happening? Also, I imagine for SCE as a company, it's easier and cheaper to hold it in the U.S. than, say, London or Cologne? Pure speculation there though.

Additionally, as far as fan/consumer friendly events of this scale, there isn't a whole lot in the U.S. where Sony has a major presence. Japan has TGS, Europe has Gamescom and PGW.

Yeah, but South America gets nothing, Canada gets nothing, Australia gets nothing, South East Asia gets nothing, Middle East gets nothing, etc. America gets like every major gaming event except for TGS and Gamescom/PGW. All I'm saying is it would be nice if Sony treated PSX as an international event.

Brasil Game Show is huge. Last year it was like 250.000 visitors (the biggest gaming event of Latin America). They should do something here :/

Weather and costs of flight ought to be considered as well. You want a place that is cheap to get to for the teams developing stuff for Sony to get out to, and has more or less predictable (and comfortable) weather.

Brasil might actually be a decent spot, given how large the Brasil Game Show is, but you have to consider travel costs to fly out and possibly put up the various teams that are working on stuff for Sony; even more of an issue if Sony isn't footing the bill for those things and the cost rests with the teams themselves.

Canada is close enough to the U.S. where the argument can be made that if people in Canada want to fly to the event, that's a totally doable thing. Hell, if the event is in a place like Seattle then that makes it a lot easier for western Canadians.

Australia is just too damn far and therefore expensive to get to, not to mention it could be silly hot there as it's the middle of summer.

Issues of travel also complicate things for an SEA event. The Middle East also needs to seriously calm the fuck down before Sony is going to green light anything there.

Many studios have to fly around anyway, since a lot of them aren't American so I don't think that should matter. I don't think weather is an issue either since I assume that these are all indoor events. As for Canada, why does it have to be in Seattle? Vancouver is a bigger city and is pretty close to it. The Middle East is a large place, there are plenty of calm places like Dubai. It's not all war torn. I think whatever minor issues that might arise from going to a country that isn't America are worth it. There are lots of PlayStation fans outside of America that always get left out in the cold on these things.

When it comes to traveling around, it unfortunately does matter how much it costs to fly out and house your staff. Amenities, climate, etc.. outside of the event space itself are also an important factor. Dubai is the only venue in the ME where the optics aren't terrible but they have their own show in November which would make a December Sony event a little redundant.

Look, I think you're totally right that a PSX event not held in the U.S. would be awesome for the people in that country, or region if it's a centrally located place like Germany, but it has to be a good fit for the stakeholders (Sony and its development partners) first and foremost; make sense financially and offer them maximum exposure opportunities since this event is, above all, a big commercial for PlayStation.

so the best option for me in a Hotel is a room with a shared bathroom, anybody ever had a shared bathroom hotel room, your experience ?

Looking forward to this. Last year was very enjoyable with a nice lot of surprises. And sony is obviously more comfortable, this being their own gig, and it shows. Feels more relaxed and more geared towards the core fans.

Hoping on some updates from some titles we haven't heard from a lot: WattaM, Rime, Last Guardian, Shadow of the beast and whatnot. And more new left-field announcement
like Wipeout goddamit

I'm wondering the same, not sure if I can attend both days but I would definitely like to see the keynote.

I went ahead and bought a ticket for Saturday. The cost of the ticket is $5 more than for Sunday, so I figure the keynote is probably going to be on Saturday.

This is the closest a gaming convention has ever been to my home, so there's no way I'm missing out on this opportunity.
