RIP Beelzebufo and Karsticles. That would make 13 bans that SFV roster thread have seen this week.

I agreed with you. I really hope that they would throw some curve-balls. I would love to see few more odd characters and few more newcomers.

The whole weather change thing seems to a way to compensate for the fact that they're aren't going to be many stages.

That's a real thing? I thought dynamic weather was just something people were hopeful for. Pretty cool I guess, but they better test that thoroughly, because I can see the framedrops from here.

Yeah, earlier today I was thinking more bannings were coming, so I stayed away. Anyways, I'm looking forward to an Alex reveal. Before Skullgirls I never played grapplers seriously, but after 2+ years of Bella practice I think I'm ready to give the archetype another shot, especially since Capcom is making an effort to simplify inputs and ease links. Mika and Alex are the perfect candidates for me to train with since I like fresh faces too.

Yes, I definitely want to see more stages than were in 4.

Q did pretty well in that 2013 Capcom poll (meaning by that time, we got Dudley, Makoto, Ibuki and the twins in SFIV already, so the results are more skewed towards the characters that didn't show up in IV). He was the highest ranking SFIII character. To me, he is not a curve ball character. Honda is a curve ball character.

I personally wish that all the DLC characters are with the series cannon in mind. If they bringing SFIII characters, they need to look younger, and if they bringing SFIV, II and Alpha characters, they need to look older like Bison, Karin and Ryu.

I'm assuming so because in the newer builds for stage select, they list the weather conditions and time of day.

Or doesn't play a lot of SF in general. Holding the life lead is definition of conventional play in Street Fighter.

I feel like those polls were mostly a avenue for people who love characters they haven't seen in a long time to vote for them, and not necessarily accurate to who is and isn't most popular. I don't think Honda will ever be DLC, not for a long time at least, he's really boring even for a SF2 character. I'll probably never see Hakan again and I'm pretty sure he's bottom tier in popularity. His oil mechanic is basically made for this game, too. :<

I don't think they will alter looks much, but I wish they would.

I really enjoy the lighter mobile grappler like she-hulk, but there never seemed to be that kind of character in street fighter until r.mika came back. So I'm going to enjoy these new kinds of grapplers more then the traditional one. I'm really wondering what there going to do to Alex because he'll be interesting as well. I never really felt comfortable with cera, but can see the appeal for her and what she's able to do.

Sucks about Karst, but most of those bans were for magazine scan thing.. Makes me wonder how many people got banned in the pre-sm4sh character speculation threads. At least this thread feels like it's dying down, and when Urien and Alex are revealed everything will be fine..

I was actually wondering the same thing. I'm guessing that they'll implement it eventually, maybe once we have everyone in the initial 16.

Knowing what happened in previous games, I think this means they won't be playable in this game at least for a while.

It's astonishing because we only have one Street Fighter V roster discussion thread and we had like 18 main Smash hype threads. I think SFV Roster Discussion already claimed more victims than Smash Hype Thread ever did.

There might be only eight bans in entire history of Smash Hype Thread. I tried my best to remember everything but the thread was moving so fast so it might be too much for moderator to keep track of everything. (I might be wrong so feel free to add more if anyone remember?)

1. Zroid trolled Skull Kid fanbase hardcore.

2. Beelzebufo got himself banned over one comment, I don't remember what it was.

3. Afoni with his false leak (6 months ban)

4-6. The drama between Revven, TheProdigy and MaverickHunterAsh.

7. Afoni with his false leak again (Perma Ban)

8. Beelzebufo for trolling so hard with the discussion about Lucina being clone or alt costume

The Einsbahn banner is in another part of the stage. That Final Fight banner has always been there

As I remember he mentioned 'time and weather effects' instead of dynamic weather. I think he was talking about having stages with different weather effects and day times, or maybe different versions of the same stage with different weather conditions or day time.

In recent builds (I think the first one was from E3 or PAX), when selecting stage it lists time, temperature and weather:

Yes, please. It would be nice to have themed DLC packs or seasons with characters, stages, songs and outfits. Would be awesome a Final Fight one.

Another from SF1 (or 'SF origins') would be great too, with the remaining SF1 chars that still have to come back, Chun's father, Zeku, Goutetsu, SF1 characters who were in SFIV, classic outfits for the SF1 characters who recently appeared in these games, remade stages inspired in the SF1 ones, etc.

I would be hype for a final fight heroes pack featuring Haggar, Guy and Cody. They're definitely a popular bunch. As for SFIV characters, sorry IntelliHeath, I can see only Juri, and another doll character showing up. Hakan and Abel are rip forever.

lol i didn't see Cody either. Just saw Maki and Haggar since i wanted them more in SFV.
The final fight crew is all cool tho and would still want them all in.

Poison and her stupid fireballs and her stupid whip rekkas and her stupid flip kick can sit this game out too. I'd rather have Hugo than those 2 characters especially if Alex is in and get a remake of their intro..

They really phoned it in with her moveset in SF4. If she came back they should wipe the slate clean.

Haven't read about that but I'm not sweating character changes too much at this point. After changing some of Necalli's inputs to charge and Bison's psycho inferno all bets are off.
 
Yikes. Glad I'be only been somewhat active in this thread. People are just being banned left and right! Granted, I understand why, but 13... Wow. Glad I haven't done anything banworthy yet. Or at least banworthy without also making for a good story.

I honestly didn't know about this banner. That's pretty cute! But also pretty damning about us not getting any Final Fight reps until much later in the DLC process. And if/when we do, it'd probably just be Guy and Cody instead of Haggar.
