Your favorite 90s films

The period of time between January 1st 1990 to December 31st, 1999. What are your all-time faves? Films you never tire of?

Two films I absolutely adore are The Mask of Zorro and The Mummy. They're both a bit pulpy, but they got great adventure vibes, great casts with crazy good chemistry, and just so damn fun.

And both had shitty sequels. So to me, they are one-offs. I love The Mummy's grand epic horror adventure vibe, and the swashbuckling tone of Zorro.

Terminator 2 for sure.
Pulp Fiction

But for movies that feel like quintessential 1990s movies, kinda like how Breakfast Club or Goonies are quintessential 80s movies, I'd say Independence Day or Jurassic Park.

Goodfellas is my number one pick, for sure. Scorsese also has a number of other good films in the decade (Casino springs to mind). Pulp Ficton and Fargo are also wonderful films.

It's also an okay decade for Woody Allen, although the eighties were better.

There's too many good movies to choose from, but I think The Matrix has the most impact and is probably my favorite from that era.

It was a fun period for some guilty pleasures though; I watched The Faculty and Mystery Men a lot when I was a kid.

Wesley Snipes had New Jack City, Blade 1, Demolition Man, King of New York, and White Men Can't Jump.

What a decade to be a Snipes fan.

Let's see.

Man, I really didn't like Menace. It felt so comic booky and blew its load so often that it never had a real climax like Boyz did and everything felt less impactful in their cartoony interpretation.

I'd put Juice over Menace even if it's a little rough looking. Needs a blu-ray release badly
