LOL pretty sure I heard the same thing last year.

Then Victorino and Stairs happened.

In other words, shut up pussy.

Couple of things:

1. You didn't hear this from ME, because I thought the Phillies were probably better last year. This year, they are not.

2. I'm pretty sure the first pitch Victorino sees this playoff series will find him picking his punk Hawaiian bitch ass up off the deck.

3. And, finally, IF this were my tag:

Zep
Canada's collective bitch

I'd just keep my head down & walk on by, to avoid drawing any attention to myself....:lol

One year ago tonight...Matt Stairs got his ass Hammered

And other guy.. Your rebuttal post was weak. Pollo trolling is better than that clusterfuck you just posted. I was ready to come at you like I do Franklin when Im bored.

I suppose I should find that flattering, but I'm not interested...sugar...anyway, I suppose we'll find out soon enough. The Dodgers found a way to survive the two best pitchers in the NL, I'm pretty sure they can take care of anything the Phils have to offer. And, you know, you still have THAT bullpen...

Tim Hudson reported to test FA market. Marquis not coming back w/ Jeff Francis pitching next year... Lackey also should be a FA and is looking for a Lowe-type deal.

The Indians picked a good year to blow things up. The FA market sucks.

Hey, we are in the hunt for Bobby V. as our coach! Awesome news!

Lowe type? I haven't read anything about his price but I think he would want Burnett money.

The Mets have virtually nothing in the farm system.
They have to pay Lackey and friends this offseason if they want to upgrade their rotation and allow for their farm system to accumulate bodies.

RE: The Yankees rotation in 2010, they have Wang rehabbing, Joba and Hughes to move back into the rotation, and Aceves and Kennedy as viable options. They probably will tender Chad Gaudin a contract as well. Hopefully Sergio Mitre is fired into the Sun.

If Andy comes back, rotation is Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte, Chamberlain, Hughes.
If Andy retires, it's Sabathia, Burnett, Chamberlain, Hughes, Gaudin.
When Wang comes back, if he's in form he slots right after Burnett. (Sabathia, Burnett, Wang, Chamberlain, Hughes). The Yankees have other places to take care of in their lineup, like LF.

Looking at the available ones I would expect a team to give Tim Hudson a chance as well. If his arm stays strong he could be a great acquisition.

I'm thinking (hoping) that hudson declined his option because he wants to work out a 2 or 3 year deal to stay in ATL for less money. He has talked about how he would be open to that.

His option was for 12 Million, would he get that much from another team?

edit: well looks like Mr. Rosenthal is a idiot again (shocker):

Hudson refutes report, says he wants to stay
Braves pitcher Tim Hudson reiterated Wednesday that he's willing to accept a "hometown discount" to stay with the Braves, while refuting a report that he's planning to become a free agent and see what he can get on the open market.

A report on FoxSports.com, citing unnamed "major-league sources," said Hudson, "barring a last-minute, knockout offer from the Braves," planned to become a free agent.

"This makes me sound like I'm saying ‘Screw y'all, I'm out of here,' which isn't the case at all," Hudson told the Journal-Constitution. "I've said all along that Atlanta was the place I want to be and that I'm willing to give them a hometown discount.

"I just hope when we start talking, my idea of a hometown discount and their idea of a hometown discount isn't 5 or 8 million [dollars] apart. That't the only thing that could put a wrench in the whole thing."

The Braves have a mutual $12 million option on Hudson's contract for 2010, with a $1 million buyout. If they exercise the option, he has the right to veto it and become a free agent.

Hudson, 34, went 2-1 with a 3.61 ERA in seven starts in September and October, after returning from a year-long recovery following ligament-transplant elbow surgery.

Hudson and general manager Frank Wren, who are neighbors in Peachtree City, both said in the last month of the season that they were hopeful and optimistic about the chances of working out a contract extension that would presumably include a lower annual salary than $12 million.
I'm thinking the braves offer him 3 years at about 26 or 27 million.

I don't know why Pettitte would retire, he's still an effective pitcher. I don't see him pulling a Mussina and walking away while he can still pitch.

The Red Sox will sign him for peanuts and he'll suck shit like Penny, Smoltz, Wade Miller, etc.

Rudy Jaramillo turns down Texas Rangers' one-year offer
Rudy Jaramillo, who has been the Rangers' hitting coach the past 15 seasons, turned down a one-year offer to remain with the club this morning and won't be back in 2010. An offer had been made by general manager Jon Daniels and team president Nolan Ryan late last week, and Jaramillo mulled his future over the weekend and the first two days of this week.

Jaramillo is viewed by many as the best hitting coach in the game, and he is the highest paid. The Rangers' offense didn't perform as expected in 2009, and Ryan, Daniels and manager Ron Washington all said last week that the Rangers' approach needed to be revamped to include a better understanding of situational hitting.

Fire TP and sign him please.
sadly that will never happen

How to fix the Mets:

- have Omar Minaya and Jerry Manuel assasinated
- hire Tony Larussa and Dave Duncan
- hire Rudy Jaramillo
- sign two pitchers or 1 pitcher and one LFer/1Bman

They'll be back to September collapse level skill in no time!
