Corny and Street Fighter go hand in hand, see: the world warriors. It's referred to as "iconic" now. Dudley is into horticulture and shit, which is totally non combat related; what's cornier than a boxer who holds roses with his gloves on? Still a cool character. And for that matter, how is Sean's bball bad but nobody complains about Dudley? Nobody says "I like Dudley except for the Rose/never takes his gloves off thing."

Cause his character doesn't revolve around it. If he fought with roses then I'd be saying Dudley is stupid too. But it's a taunt, a small one at that and one that I"m not even sure Capcom thought people would use offensively.

I know it was from Mega Man 8 (And that Mega Man Soccer is a thing) but it's not exactly a weapon that comes to mind when you think "Mega Man," and it probably only got in because Mega Man 8 came out around the same time as MvC1, and then he was just ripped straight from 1 into 2. It just felt weird that Mega Man's default "variant" was that he summoned a soccer ball, regardless of how it well it worked gameplay-wise. There's a reason the Mega Ball wasn't even acknowledged in Smash, after all.

I actually hope the soccer player character has a ball similar to Mega Man's Rock Ball in MvC2. It's a really good zoning tool.

Tiffany's outfits are horrible (her school blazer alt is much nicer) but she's really fun to play as. Her story is an interesting take on a cheerleader character too.

Rival Schools, Roberto and Abel are all amazing. Hope to see a RS sequel some day soon and I can't wait for Abel to appear in SFV.

LOL I see I'm not the only one with this train of thought. I have no idea what Laura looks like (nobody outside Capcom does yet) but this is my current Laura headcannon until proven otherwise :P

What's kinda strange about this thread is that a lot of you guys seem very passionate and opinionated about something you have no control over.
 
It's just that I don't see what the source of discussion is...it doesn't matter if you think urien is a classic character or is important to the story or whatever he's either in or not. Reads kinda like fan fiction.

This is a roster discussion thread, the title says as much. The roster hasn't been fully revealed, what do you expect if not speculation?

A lot of people that I've met who main dudley or q were Fedora popping mladies.
One dude stopped playing mid rose throw just to tip his hat and I died laughing but yeah diddles is neat.

If that's what he meant he didn't communicate it very well.

I mean - yeah, people are being silly/ridiculous in the ways they're trying protect their own personal speculation. But if what dude meant was "you're being silly/ridiculous in the ways you're trying to justify your guess as THE correct guess" then that didn't come across when trying to criticize nobody in particular with something as all encompassing as "it's weird when people are passionate about things they have no control over."

Also, I'm not sure there's any real difference between being passionate over a game and being passionate over a leak, as the leak is directly tied to the game people are being passionate over.

We're definitely getting a reveal at the Brazil Game Show (October 8th), likely followed by a reveal at the Street Fighter V panel at New York Comic Con (October 10th).
 
there's a panel in brazil, right? was vega revealed ahead of gamescom since there was no panel there (I think).

not long to go. october should be a good month if we get 2 characters and beta phase 2

There was a post here somewhere about someone confirming other characters but alluding to the fact we might not play the first beta characters
 
Well it could be other announcements , and maybe not a character.

Then again they are running out of big events to reveal characters. I mean theres nothing in november and I am guessing PSX will be the grand finale.
